“When the Weight Feels Heavy”

Scripture:“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee.”— Psalm 55:22 (KJV)

Some days grief feels manageable.Other days it feels like a weight pressing against your chest.

You may not even know what triggered it. A memory. A song. A scent. A date on the calendar. Or maybe nothing at all—just the quiet ache that lingers.

If today feels heavy, you do not have to carry it alone.

God does not ask you to be strong enough.He asks you to bring the weight to Him.

“Cast thy burden upon the Lord…”

That word cast means to throw it down—to release it. Not politely hand it over. Not hold onto part of it. But truly let Him carry what you cannot.

Grief is not weakness.Grief is love that still longs.And God understands both.

If the burden feels too heavy today, whisper a simple prayer:“Lord, help me.”
