šŸ“– Scripture (KJV)

Psalm 46:10ā€œBe still, and know that I am Godā€¦ā€

Isaiah 40:31ā€œBut they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eaglesā€¦ā€

John 15:5ā€œI am the vine, ye are the branches… for without me ye can do nothing.ā€

āœļø Devotional Thought

As authors, we often feel the need to keep writing, producing, and moving forward.

Deadlines, goals, ideas, and unfinished pages can make us feel like we should always be doing more.

But this weekend, God gently invites you to something different…

To be still.

Psalm 46:10 reminds us that stillness is not wasted time — it is sacred time.

Because before we are writers…Before we are storytellers…Before we are creators…

We are His.

And everything we write flows from that relationship.

Sometimes the reason writing feels heavy is not because we’ve lost the calling —but because we’ve become spiritually drained.

Isaiah reminds us that when we wait on the Lord, He renews our strength.

Not just physical strength…but emotional strength…creative strength…spiritual strength.

God restores what busyness can deplete.

And in John 15, Jesus reminds us of a powerful truth:

Without Him, we can do nothing.

That includes writing.

The most powerful words you will ever write are not the ones formed by pressure or striving…but the ones that come from a heart connected to Him.

So this weekend is not about how much you write.

It’s about how deeply you reconnect.

Spend time in His presence.Sit quietly with Him.Let Him refill your heart.

Because when your heart is full…your writing will naturally flow.

And when you return to the page, you won’t just be writing words…

You’ll be writing from a place of peace, purpose, and power.

🌿 Weekend Reflection

Have I been pushing myself harder than I’ve been seeking God?

When was the last time I truly sat still in His presence?

What is God pouring into me that I can later pour out through writing?

šŸ™ Prayer

Father,Thank You for the reminder to slow down and be still in Your presence. Forgive me for the times I have tried to push forward in my own strength. Renew my heart, refresh my spirit, and refill me with Your peace. Help me stay connected to You so that everything I write flows from Your truth and Your love. Prepare me for the words You want me to write in the days ahead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
