āļø Devotional Thought
As authors, we often feel the need to keep writing, producing, and moving forward.
Deadlines, goals, ideas, and unfinished pages can make us feel like we should always be doing more.
But this weekend, God gently invites you to something differentā¦
To be still.
Psalm 46:10 reminds us that stillness is not wasted time ā it is sacred time.
Because before we are writersā¦Before we are storytellersā¦Before we are creatorsā¦
We are His.
And everything we write flows from that relationship.
Sometimes the reason writing feels heavy is not because weāve lost the calling ābut because weāve become spiritually drained.
Isaiah reminds us that when we wait on the Lord, He renews our strength.
Not just physical strengthā¦but emotional strengthā¦creative strengthā¦spiritual strength.
God restores what busyness can deplete.
And in John 15, Jesus reminds us of a powerful truth:
Without Him, we can do nothing.
That includes writing.
The most powerful words you will ever write are not the ones formed by pressure or strivingā¦but the ones that come from a heart connected to Him.
So this weekend is not about how much you write.
Itās about how deeply you reconnect.
Spend time in His presence.Sit quietly with Him.Let Him refill your heart.
Because when your heart is fullā¦your writing will naturally flow.
And when you return to the page, you wonāt just be writing wordsā¦
Youāll be writing from a place of peace, purpose, and power.
šæ Weekend Reflection
Have I been pushing myself harder than Iāve been seeking God?
When was the last time I truly sat still in His presence?
What is God pouring into me that I can later pour out through writing?
š Prayer
Father,Thank You for the reminder to slow down and be still in Your presence. Forgive me for the times I have tried to push forward in my own strength. Renew my heart, refresh my spirit, and refill me with Your peace. Help me stay connected to You so that everything I write flows from Your truth and Your love. Prepare me for the words You want me to write in the days ahead. In Jesusā name, Amen.
