Psalm 51:10“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
Isaiah 40:31“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength…”
✍️ Devotional Thought
Sometimes the writing journey can leave you feeling tired.
Not because you’ve stopped caring…
But because you’ve been carrying so much.
The responsibilities.The deadlines.The emotions behind the words.
And even when you love writing…
It can still become exhausting.
That’s why weekends are such a beautiful reminder from God—
You do not have to carry everything alone.
Jesus invites the weary to come to Him and find rest.
Not just physical rest…
But rest for your soul.
Psalm 51 reminds us that God can renew our spirit.
When creativity feels dry…When motivation feels low…When your heart feels overwhelmed…
God can refill what feels empty.
Isaiah reminds us that waiting on the Lord renews our strength.
Not rushing.Not striving.
But slowing down long enough to sit in His presence.
So this weekend…
Pause.
Take a deep breath.
Spend time with God without feeling pressure to “produce.”

And if inspiration comes…
Write from peace, not pressure.
Because a rested soul hears God more clearly.
And often, the most beautiful words come after moments of renewal.
