✍️ Author Devotional – December 15, 2025 Writing That Makes Room for Jesus

Scripture:“And she brought forth her firstborn son… and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.” — Luke 2:7 (KJV)

In the busyness of December, it’s easy for even good things to crowd our hearts — schedules, plans, expectations, and responsibilities. As an author, you may feel the pull to create more, post more, and keep up. But today, God gently asks a deeper question:

Is there room for Jesus in your writing?

Before Mary laid Jesus in a manger, there was no room in the inn — yet God still chose a humble place to enter the world. In the same way, God doesn’t need a perfect, polished, or impressive space to work through you. He simply needs room.

Room in your heart.Room in your thoughts.Room in your writing.

When you make room for Jesus:• your words carry peace• your message carries hope• your writing reflects humility and truth• your pages become a place where others can encounter Him

This season, let your writing slow down enough to welcome Christ fully. Don’t let pressure or performance crowd out presence. Whether you write a single sentence or an entire page today, invite Jesus into it — and let Him be the reason, the message, and the meaning behind every word.

Reflection Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I make room for You today. Clear away anything that crowds my heart or distracts my focus. Let my writing be a place where You are welcomed, honored, and revealed. Use my words to point others to You, especially in this Christmas season. In Your precious name, Amen.

Today’s Challenge:Before you write today, pause and pray: “Jesus, You are welcome here.”Then write from a place of quiet reverence, making room for Him in every word.
