✍️ Author Devotional – December 18, 2025

Theme: Breath of Heaven on Every Word Scripture: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…” — 2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)

As an author, there are days when words feel thin and effort feels heavy. But God reminds you today that true inspiration comes from Him. The same God who breathed life into Scripture breathes purpose into the words you write when your heart is surrendered to Him.

Inspiration isn’t something you have to chase or force. It flows when you pause long enough to receive. When you invite God into your writing space, He breathes clarity where there was confusion, peace where there was pressure, and meaning where there was uncertainty.

You are not meant to manufacture holy words — you are meant to receive them. God’s breath brings life, direction, and depth. Even a simple sentence, written under His inspiration, can carry more power than pages written in your own strength.

As Christmas approaches, remember the miracle we celebrate: Heaven breathed into earth. God stepped into humanity. Light entered the world.

Let that same holy breath fill your writing today.

Reflection Prayer:

Lord, breathe on my words today. Fill my heart with Your inspiration and guide every thought I write. Let my writing be shaped by Your Spirit and used for Your glory. I welcome Your presence into every sentence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Challenge: Before you write today, pause and take one deep breath. Whisper, “Lord, breathe on this.” Then write slowly, trusting Him to inspire each word.
