✍️ Author Devotional – December 20, 2025

Theme: Magnifying the Lord With Your Words Scripture: “And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord.” — Luke 1:46 (KJV)

When Mary lifted her voice in praise, she didn’t magnify herself or her role — she magnified the Lord. Her words pointed upward, declaring God’s greatness and faithfulness. As an author walking with Christ, this is a beautiful reminder of the purpose behind your writing: to magnify Him.

To magnify means to make something clearer, larger, and more visible. Your words have the power to help others see God more clearly — His goodness, His mercy, His faithfulness, and His love. When your writing magnifies the Lord, it shifts focus away from performance and back to praise.

You don’t need grand language or polished phrases to magnify God. Simple, sincere words spoken from a grateful heart are enough. When your soul is full of worship, your writing naturally reflects it.

As Christmas approaches, let your words echo Mary’s song — lifting hearts, stirring hope, and drawing attention to the greatness of God. Let your writing become an act of praise, reminding others (and yourself) of the miracle we are about to celebrate: God with us.

Reflection Prayer:

Lord, let my soul magnify You. Help me write words that lift You up and point others to Your greatness. Keep my heart humble, grateful, and full of praise as I write. May everything I create honor You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s (or Tomorrow’s) Challenge:Write a short paragraph of praise today — something that magnifies who God is or what He has done. Let your writing become worship as you prepare your heart for Christmas.
