✍️ Author Devotional – December 31, 2025
Theme: Committing the New Chapter to GodScripture:“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.” — Proverbs 16:3 (KJV)
Tonight, one chapter closes and another waits to be written. The turning of the year invites a holy pause — a moment to place everything you’ve carried, created, questioned, and hoped for into God’s faithful hands.
As an author, you understand chapters. Some end neatly; others trail off with unanswered questions. But God is not anxious about the pages you didn’t finish or the words you wish you’d written differently. He sees the whole story — and He is still writing.
To commit your works is to surrender outcomes. To commit your thoughts is to trust direction. When you place your writing, your calling, and your future before the Lord, He promises to establish what truly matters.
Tonight isn’t about perfect resolutions or ambitious plans. It’s about dedication. About saying, “Lord, whatever You write next, I’m Yours.” Let peace replace pressure. Let trust quiet fear. Let hope anchor your heart as you step forward with Him.
The page turns.God remains. And the Author of life goes with you into every new word.
Reflection Prayer:
Lord, I commit my works, my words, and my way to You. Thank You for walking with me through every chapter of this year. As I step into a new one, establish my thoughts, guide my writing, and lead my heart according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Tonight’s Gentle Invitation:Write a simple dedication for the year ahead — a sentence that offers your writing, your time, and your heart to God. Then rest, trusting Him with the next chapter.
✨ Happy New Year’s Eve. May your words — and your life — remain in His hands.
