✍️ Author Devotional – January 6, 2026Theme: God Meets You at the Page

Theme: God Meets You at the Page Scripture:“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.” — James 4:8 (KJV)

By day six, routines begin to form. The newness softens, and what remains is faithfulness. Today, God offers a simple promise to every writer who shows up: when you draw near, He meets you there.

You don’t have to wait for inspiration to arrive before you begin. You don’t have to feel confident or clear. The act of sitting down — opening the Bible, the notebook, the document — is itself a step toward God. And He honors that step with His nearness.

When you draw near:• peace settles your thoughts• clarity replaces confusion• courage rises quietly• direction unfolds one line at a time

Writing becomes less about output and more about presence. God meets you at the page, shaping both the words and the writer. Even if you write only a few lines today, they are not small when offered in faith.

Come close. Start where you are. God is already there.

Reflection Prayer:

Lord, I draw near to You today. Meet me in my writing space and in my thoughts. Calm my heart, guide my words, and let Your presence shape everything I write. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Gentle Invitation:Begin your writing today with a simple prayer: “Lord, I’m here.”Then write — trusting that God is near and faithful to guide each word.
