✍️ Author Devotional – October 19, 2025

Theme: Your Words Have Purpose Scripture: “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.” — Psalm 19:14 (KJV)

As writers, our words hold power. They can build up or tear down, bring healing or harm, inspire hope or stir fear. When we write for the Lord, we’re not just crafting sentences — we’re shaping hearts.

God calls us to use our words with purpose and humility. Every story, poem, devotional, or journal entry is an opportunity to reflect His light. It’s easy to get caught up in doubt — wondering if your writing matters, if anyone will read it, or if you’re good enough. But God isn’t asking for perfection; He’s asking for surrender.

When your heart is aligned with His, your words will reach farther than you can imagine. The Holy Spirit breathes through yielded pens. What you write today may be the exact encouragement someone needs tomorrow.

Never underestimate the ministry hidden in your words. Even a simple sentence written in obedience can become a vessel of grace.

Reflection Prayer:

Lord, make my words a reflection of Your heart. Let everything I write bring You glory. Help me to remember that my pen is a tool in Your hands, and my calling is to honor You through it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Challenge: Before you write today, pause and pray Psalm 19:14 out loud. Invite God to guide your thoughts, shape your message, and use your words to touch the lives He intends to reach.
