🏆🔥 Blue Ribbon Smokehouse Peach BBQ Ribs 🔥🏆

Good morning, folks! 🤠

Welcome to August! 🌻

We're kicking off a brand-new month with a recipe that's worthy of a championship ribbon! These Blue Ribbon Smokehouse Peach BBQ Ribs are slow-cooked until they're fall-off-the-bone tender, then brushed with a sweet and smoky homemade peach BBQ glaze that captures the very best flavors of summer.

Whether you're cooking on the smoker, the grill, or in the oven, this recipe is sure to become a family favorite!

🍖 Ingredients

For the Ribs

  • 2 racks baby back pork ribs

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon onion powder

  • 2 teaspoons coarse black pepper

  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

🍑 Homemade Peach BBQ Glaze

  • 1 cup peach preserves

  • ¾ cup smoky BBQ sauce

  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

🔥 Chuckwagon Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Preheat your smoker or oven to 250°F.

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and lightly coat with olive oil.

Mix all the dry seasonings together and rub generously over both sides of the ribs.

Step 2

Smoke (or bake covered) for 3½ to 4 hours, until the ribs are tender.

Step 3

While the ribs cook, combine all the glaze ingredients in a saucepan.

Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Brush the ribs generously with the Peach BBQ Glaze.

Increase the heat to 300°F and cook uncovered for another 20–30 minutes, brushing with additional glaze every 10 minutes until the ribs become sticky and beautifully caramelized.

Step 5

Allow the ribs to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

🥄 Chuckwagon Serving Suggestions

Serve with:

  • 🌽 Honey butter cornbread

  • 🫘 Cowboy baked beans

  • 🥔 Loaded potato salad

  • 🥗 Creamy coleslaw

  • 🍉 Fresh watermelon

  • 🍑 Grilled peaches

  • 🍋 Sweet tea or homemade peach lemonade

Pitmaster's Tip

For competition-quality ribs, wrap them in foil after about 2½ hours with a splash of apple juice and a pat of butter. This keeps them incredibly moist and helps create that tender, juicy bite every BBQ lover is after.
