âOversized Candy Cane Yard Decor (Pool Noodle Repurpose)â đŹđâ¨
Theme: Sweet reminders of Godâs love â bold, joyful decorations that make people smile.
These giant candy canes are inexpensive, weather-friendly, and PERFECT for outdoor decorating!
â¤ď¸ What Youâll Need:
Pool noodles (white works best)
Red duct tape or red outdoor tape
Heat gun or hair dryer (optional, for bending)
Garden stakes or rebar (for yard placement)
Clear outdoor tape
Optional:
Clear spray sealant
Battery fairy lights
Scripture tags or signs
Peppermint bows
⨠Directions:
1. Shape the Candy Cane
Gently bend the top of the pool noodle into a hook shape.
Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low to soften the noodle (adult supervision).
Or simply bend slowly and secure with tape until it holds its shape.
2. Add the Stripes
Wrap red duct tape diagonally around the noodle to create classic candy cane stripes.Press firmly so it sticks well outdoors.
3. Seal (Optional)
Spray with a clear outdoor sealant for extra durability and shine.
4. Add Lights (Optional)
Wrap battery fairy lights around the candy cane and secure with clear tape.Hide the battery pack behind greenery or at the base.
5. Display Outdoors
Push a garden stake or piece of rebar into the ground.Slide the pool noodle over it to keep it upright.

Along walkways
By the driveway
In flower beds
Near oversized ornaments or gift boxes
