🌅 Daily Devotional – November 2, 2025 🌅Resting in God’s Presence

Resting in God’s Presence

Scripture (KJV):“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

Reflection: Life can be exhausting—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We pour ourselves into work, family, ministry, and daily responsibilities, and sometimes it feels like there’s not enough of us left to give. But Jesus offers an invitation that never expires: “Come unto Me.”

He doesn’t say, “Come when you have it all together,” or “Come when you’ve figured it out.” He simply says, come. His arms are open for the weary, the burdened, and the brokenhearted. In His presence, there’s peace that the world can’t take away and rest that reaches deep into your soul.

When we slow down long enough to sit at His feet, He refills what life has drained. His Word refreshes our minds, His Spirit renews our strength, and His love restores our hearts. Resting in God isn’t about doing nothing—it’s about trusting Him with everything.

Take a few moments today to pause, breathe, and rest in His presence. Lay your worries before Him, and let His peace wash over you. He’s not asking you to carry it all—He’s asking you to trust that He already has.

Devotional Thought: True rest isn’t found in sleep or stillness—it’s found in surrender. When you rest in God, you’ll find strength to rise again.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for inviting me to come to You just as I am. I’m tired and sometimes overwhelmed, but I know You are my peace. Help me to rest in Your presence, to trust You more, and to let go of the burdens I was never meant to carry. Refresh my spirit today, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
