âThe LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.ââPsalm 23:1â2 (KJV)
Life can pull us in many directionsâgrief, worry, and weariness can leave our hearts tired and our minds restless. Yet in the midst of it all, God calls us to rest in Him.
When David wrote these words, he knew what it meant to walk through valleys and face battles. But he also knew the comfort of the Shepherdâthe One who restores the soul and leads His children beside still waters. Those waters represent peace, refreshment, and renewal for a weary heart.
The Lord doesnât ask us to be strong all the time. Instead, He invites us to lie downâto rest, to breathe, and to trust that He is caring for every detail of our lives. His peace quiets our storms, His guidance keeps us steady, and His love reminds us that we are never forgotten.
Today, let your Shepherd lead you beside still waters. Let Him refresh your soul with His presence and remind you that even in chaos, He is your calm.
Reflection for Today:Where in your life do you need stillness and rest? Let the Lord guide you to peace today.
Prayer:Lord, thank You for being my Shepherd and for leading me beside still waters. When my heart feels restless, teach me to rest in You. Restore my soul and remind me that Your presence is my peace. Amen.
