🌤 Daily Devotional: “Strength for the Soft Days”
Scripture:
“My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.”— Psalm 73:26 (KJV)
There are days in grief that feel softer than others—days when your heart feels tender, your emotions feel close to the surface, and even the smallest memory can bring a tear. These aren’t weak days. They’re human days. Days where love shows itself through the ache.
And it’s on those soft days that God leans in closest. When your heart feels fragile, His becomes your strength. When you feel empty, He becomes your portion. When you feel weary, He becomes your rest.
Grief doesn’t follow a straight line. Some days you feel strong, other days you feel like you’re relearning how to breathe. But you don’t walk through any of these days alone. God holds your heart gently, faithfully, and without judgment. He knows how to carry the weight you can’t lift.
Lean into Him today. Let Him be your strength where yours is thinning. Let Him be your peace where the tears linger. Let Him be your portion—your comfort, your grounding, your guiding light.
Even on the soft days, you are held.Even when the heart breaks, God remains steady. And even when grief feels heavy, His love carries you.
đź’› Prayer:
Father,On the days when my heart feels tender and my strength feels small, remind me that You are enough for me. Hold me close, comfort me gently, and fill the empty places with Your peace. Thank You for being my strength when I have none and my portion forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
