**Holy Monday – The Monday Before Easter**
*Easter Devotional Countdown 2025*
*“And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers…”*
—Matthew 21:12 (KJV)
On Holy Monday, just days before the cross, Jesus walked into the temple and cleansed it. He drove out everything that didn’t belong in His Father’s house. It was a powerful moment of truth, holiness, and preparation.
Holy Monday reminds us that before resurrection comes cleansing. Before victory comes surrender. Jesus wants to cleanse our hearts — not in anger, but in love — so that we can be fully His.
Sometimes we allow things into our hearts that don’t belong: fear, bitterness, pride, distractions. But Jesus is faithful to help us clean out the clutter and make room for His peace and presence.
**Reflection:**
What does Jesus need to cleanse from your heart today? Invite Him in to overturn every burden, every sin, every distraction — and let Him fill you with His presence.
**Prayer:**
Lord Jesus, come into my heart and cleanse me. Remove anything that separates me from You. Make my heart a place of worship, peace, and surrender. Prepare me this Holy Week to draw closer to You. Amen.
