🌿 January 27 Grief Support Devotional: “God Is Gentle With Your Heart”

“God Is Gentle With Your Heart”

Scripture:

“A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench
”— Isaiah 42:3 (KJV)

Grief can leave your heart feeling bruised—still standing, but fragile. You may feel like you’re holding it together on the outside while everything inside feels tender and worn.

God sees that tenderness. And He responds with gentleness.

He does not break what is bruised. He does not extinguish what still flickers. He handles your heart with care and patience.

Today, rest in the truth that God is not rough with your healing. He moves slowly, lovingly, and intentionally. Your weakness does not repel Him—it draws Him closer.

You are safe in His hands.

💛 Prayer:

Lord,Thank You for being gentle with my heart. When grief leaves me feeling fragile, help me trust that You are caring for me with patience and love. Hold me close today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
