God Has Carried You This Far"

🌿 Devotional Thought

Today marks the final day of July.

As another month comes to a close, you may find yourself looking back over the days behind you. Perhaps this month has brought moments of peace, unexpected blessings, or precious memories that made you smile.

Or perhaps it has been filled with tears, anniversaries, lonely evenings, and the quiet ache of missing someone you love.

No matter what this month has held, there is one truth that remains unchanged:

God has faithfully carried you every step of the way.

There were days you weren't sure you could make it through.

There were mornings when getting out of bed took every ounce of strength you had.

There were moments when grief felt heavier than your heart could bear.

Yet here you are.

Not because you are strong on your own, but because God's hands have never let go of yours.

The prophet Samuel placed a stone of remembrance and called it Ebenezer, saying, "Hitherto hath the Lord helped us." It was a declaration that every victory, every provision, and every step forward had been made possible because of God's faithfulness.

Perhaps today is your own Ebenezer moment.

Take a moment to remember how God has sustained you.

Remember the friend He sent at just the right time.

Remember the unexpected peace that came after prayer.

Remember the strength He gave when you thought you had none left.

Remember the hope that quietly returned after days of sorrow.

Every one of those moments is evidence that God has been walking beside you all along.

As July comes to an end, don't focus only on what you've lost.

Also remember what God has given you:

His presence.

His comfort.

His grace.

His promises.

And the blessed hope of seeing your loved one again in His perfect timing.

Tomorrow begins a new month.

There may still be tears.

There may still be difficult days.

But there will also be new mercies, fresh strength, and countless opportunities to see God's hand at work.

The God who carried you through July will faithfully carry you through August—and every day until He welcomes you Home.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for walking beside us through every joy and every sorrow this month. Thank You for carrying us when we felt too weak to stand, comforting us when our hearts were broken, and reminding us that we never walk alone. As we prepare to enter a new month, help us leave our fears in Your hands and step forward with confidence, knowing that Your mercies are new every morning. Continue to strengthen our faith, fill us with hope, and help us live each day in a way that honors both You and the precious memories of those we love.
