đ January Bible Study â New Beginnings in Christ Day 3 â January 3rd, 2026: Trusting God When the Path Isnât Clear
đïž Key Scripture (KJV):âCommit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.ââ Psalm 37:5
đ Devotional Thought:
As we continue into the new year, one truth becomes clear: God does not always reveal the entire path at once.
We often want certainty before we move forwardâclear answers, detailed plans, and reassurance that everything will turn out exactly as we hope. But Scripture teaches us that faith grows not by seeing the whole picture, but by trusting God one step at a time.
Throughout the Bible, Godâs people moved forward without knowing all the details. Abraham went without knowing where he was going. Moses led without seeing the promised land. Mary said yes without knowing how it would all unfold.
Faith does not require full understandingâIt requires full trust.
January 3rd reminds us that committing our way to the Lord means placing our plans, fears, and expectations into His hands. When we trust Him, He promises to bring it to passânot always in our timing, but always in His perfect way.
The future Jesus has for you does not depend on your ability to see ahead. It depends on His faithfulness to lead.
When the road feels uncertain, remember:God sees the destination.God orders your steps.God walks with you.
đ Daily Bible Reading â January 3rd:Genesis 5â6(A reminder that Godâs plans continue faithfully from generation to generation, even when the world seems uncertain.)
đ Prayer Prompt:
Lord, I place my future in Your hands.Help me trust You even when I cannot see the full path ahead.Guide my steps, strengthen my faith, and help me walk forward in obedience and confidence in You.
âïž Reflection Questions:
âą Where do I struggle most with trusting God right now?âą What does it look like for me to commit my plans fully to the Lord?âą How can I practice trusting God one step at a time today?
âš Encouragement for Today
You donât need all the answers to move forward. You only need to trust the One who holds them.
Jesus is leading youâstep by stepâinto the future He has prepared for you. đ
