May 7th Daily Devotional: Hope in Jesus
Theme: Hope in the Waiting
Scripture:“But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.” — Romans 8:25 (KJV)
Reflection:Hope often requires waiting—and waiting can be hard. When prayers seem unanswered or doors remain closed, we may feel discouraged. But real hope trusts God’s timing, even when we can’t see the outcome.
To wait with hope is not passive—it is active trust. It means we continue to believe, continue to pray, and continue to walk in faith even when we don’t have all the answers. The same God who made the promise will be faithful to fulfill it.
Hope in Jesus gives us strength to wait with expectation, knowing that what He has prepared for us is worth every moment of trust.
Faith-Building Question:What promise from God are you waiting for today, and how can you renew your hope in the waiting?
Prayer:Father, help me to wait with hope. When I grow weary in the waiting, remind me of Your faithfulness. Strengthen my trust and give me patience, knowing You are working behind the scenes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
