Rolling With Grace: Day 6 — Barges, Backroads & a Relaxing Farewell

July 3, 2025

Our last full day in New Orleans was exactly what we needed — no agenda, no rush, just rolling with grace and soaking in the final moments of this chapter of our adventure.

Backroad Exploring & Barges on the Mississippi

We started the day with one of our favorite ways to explore — just driving with no plan. The beauty of this area is you don’t need a destination to find something worth seeing.

We stumbled upon a few little shops, watched barges making their way down the Mississippi, and passed through peaceful fishing communities tucked along the water. It was quiet, simple, and exactly the kind of day we love — no schedule, just seeing where the road takes us.

Winding Down With Pizza & Relaxation

By the afternoon, we made our way back to the hotel around 4 p.m., ordered some pizza, and settled in for a relaxing evening. A little TV, a lot of reflecting, and some much-needed rest before we hit the road again tomorrow.

Grateful for This Season

Our time in New Orleans has been full of unexpected moments — some challenging, some sweet, all of them woven together by God’s hand. It’s never just about the places — it’s about the people, the peace, the little reminders that He’s with us every mile of the way.

Next Stop… Arkansas & Tennessee!

Tomorrow, we head toward Arkansas, then Knoxville to spend the Fourth of July evening with our sister Teresa and Curtis. More adventures, more memories, and more stories to share.

Until then, we’re resting up and thanking the Lord for this journey so far.
