🌻 HAPPY FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY, CRAFTING FRIENDS!
Good morning, everyone!
Another beautiful October weekend is here, and I hope you're ready for some treasure hunting, creativity, and FUN! 💜
This weekend, we're trying THREE different crafts using inexpensive thrift-store finds, Dollar Tree supplies, and things we may already have around our homes.
Remember, you don't need a fancy craft room or expensive supplies to make something beautiful.
Sometimes all it takes is a little imagination!
🍂 FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23
🧵 Vintage Embroidery Hoop → Beautiful Autumn Fabric Wall Art!
Have you ever seen old embroidery hoops at a thrift store or yard sale?
Today we're turning one into a beautiful piece of cottage-style wall art!
🛒 WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Wooden embroidery hoop
Scrap fabric or thrifted tablecloth
Felt in autumn colors
Scissors
Needle and thread or fabric glue
Small wooden buttons
Ribbon or jute twine
Fabric marker (optional)
🔨 DIRECTIONS
1️⃣ Find your hoop! Choose an embroidery hoop approximately 8–12 inches across.
2️⃣ Choose your fabric! A thrifted linen napkin, old tablecloth, or gingham fabric works beautifully.
3️⃣ Stretch your fabric! Place the fabric inside the hoop and tighten it until smooth.
4️⃣ Create your design! Cut simple leaf shapes from rust, gold, sage, and burgundy felt.
5️⃣ Add a special message! Stitch or use a fabric marker to write:
🍂 Autumn Blessings
🌻 Give Thanks
💜 Grateful Hearts
6️⃣ Finish your masterpiece! Secure the leaves with stitching or fabric glue, trim and secure the excess fabric on the back, and add a little ribbon for hanging.
You now have a beautiful handmade piece of fall wall art!

We often overlook the beauty of small things. A little fabric, a wooden hoop, and a few simple stitches can become something meaningful.
Sometimes the simplest blessings bring the greatest joy.

🌻 SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24
🪵 Dollar Tree Tumbling Blocks → Rustic Mini Farmhouse Crate!
Saturday's craft is a FUN one!
We're using those little wooden tumbling blocks you can sometimes find at Dollar Tree to build our own miniature farmhouse crate.
Perfect for a coffee bar, desk, bathroom counter, or craft room!
🛒 WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Two or more packs of wooden tumbling blocks, depending on crate size
Strong wood glue
Small piece of cardboard or thin craft wood for the base
Craft paint or wood stain
Paintbrush
Jute twine
Small wooden label
Decorative ribbon (optional)
🔨 DIRECTIONS
1️⃣ Plan your crate! Lay out your wooden blocks to decide the size and shape.
2️⃣ Create your base! Cut a small rectangle from sturdy craft wood or cardboard.
3️⃣ Build your walls! Glue blocks end-to-end in rows, alternating the joints where possible.
4️⃣ Assemble your crate! Attach the rows to create four walls, then glue them securely to the base. Let everything cure completely.
5️⃣ Paint or stain! Choose natural wood, antique white, sage green, or rustic brown.
6️⃣ Decorate! Add a small label and a little jute twine.
Try labels such as:

💜 Made With Love
Now fill your little crate with lightweight items such as coffee pods, wrapped treats, craft supplies, or small decorative accessories.
This is a decorative crate, not a container for heavy items or unwrapped food.

Isn't it amazing how small pieces can come together to create something useful?
Life is often like that too.
A little kindness, a little encouragement, and a little faith can make a bigger difference than we realize.

📖 Thrifted Teacup & Saucer → Beautiful Scripture & Encouragement Gift!
Sunday's project is a little different, and I absolutely love the meaning behind it!
We're taking an old teacup and saucer and turning them into a thoughtful gift that can brighten someone's day.
Maybe you know someone who is lonely, grieving, recovering from an illness, or simply needs a little encouragement.
This would make a beautiful handmade gift!
🛒 WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Thrifted teacup and matching saucer
Decorative paper or cardstock
Scissors
Pen or fine-tip marker
Ribbon
Small gift tag
Wrapped tea bags or candies (optional)
Small artificial flower (optional)
🔨 DIRECTIONS
1️⃣ Find your teacup! Look for a beautiful vintage cup and saucer at a thrift store, estate sale, or yard sale.
2️⃣ Clean it thoroughly! Choose a cup without chips or cracks if you're including tea for someone to drink.
3️⃣ Make Scripture cards! Cut small pieces of cardstock into pretty shapes.
4️⃣ Write encouraging messages! Add short Bible verses, prayers, or words of kindness.
Some beautiful choices include:
💜 Psalm 46:1 — God is our refuge and strength.
🙏 1 Peter 5:7 — Cast your cares upon Him.
❤️ Psalm 34:18 — The Lord is near to the brokenhearted.
🌻 Philippians 4:13 — Strength through Christ.
5️⃣ Fill your cup! Fold your encouragement cards and place them inside. Add individually wrapped tea bags or candies if desired.
6️⃣ Finish your gift! Place the cup on its saucer, add a ribbon and a little tag that says:
"A Cup of Encouragement, Just for You!"
And there you have it!
A simple thrifted treasure has become a meaningful gift of love and encouragement.
