🪟 Old wooden shutter🎨 Chalk paint or furniture paint (optional)🖌️ Paintbrush🧼 Cleaning cloth🪛 Small decorative hooks and screws🧺 Small metal basket🎀 Burlap or gingham ribbon🌿 Faux greenery or flowers🪵 Small wooden sign (optional)🔩 Wall-mounting hardware

Most of these supplies can be found at thrift stores, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or right in your own home!

🔨 STEP-BY-STEP DIRECTIONS

1️⃣ FIND YOUR HIDDEN GEM!

Look for a sturdy wooden shutter with interesting details. Don't worry about chipped paint or scratches—that can be part of its charm!

Check that the wood is solid and the slats are secure.

2️⃣ CLEAN & PREPARE

Wipe the shutter down with a damp cloth and allow it to dry.

If it has an older painted finish, avoid sanding until you know the paint is lead-safe.

3️⃣ GIVE IT A MAKEOVER

Leave the original wood finish or paint it a beautiful farmhouse color.
