Agape Love Weekend Grief Support Devotionals January 24th and 25th.

🌿 January 24 Grief Support Devotional: “God Meets You in the Waves”

Scripture:

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”— Psalm 46:1 (KJV)

Grief does not move in a straight line. Some days feel steady, and others arrive like waves—unexpected, strong, and hard to brace against. A memory, a date, or a quiet moment can suddenly pull your heart under again.

But today, God reminds you of something deeply comforting:He is a very present help.

Not distant. Not delayed. Not waiting for the storm to pass.

Very present—right in the middle of the wave.

When emotions rise suddenly, He is your refuge. When strength feels depleted, He becomes your strength. When grief feels overwhelming, He stands steady while the waters move around you.

You are not weak because waves return. You are human. And you are held.

Today, let God meet you where the grief rises. Let Him be the refuge that steadies you and the strength that carries you through another moment, another breath, another day.

💛 Prayer:

Lord,When waves of grief rise unexpectedly, be my refuge and strength. Help me trust that You are present in every moment of sorrow and that You will steady me when emotions feel overwhelming. Hold me close today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

🌿 January 25 Grief Support Devotional: “Healing Is Happening, Even When It’s Quiet”

Scripture:

“He restoreth my soul
”— Psalm 23:3 (KJV)

Healing after loss often happens quietly. Not in big breakthroughs. Not in sudden moments of clarity. But in small, sacred ways you may not even notice at first.

Healing looks like breathing through a hard moment. It looks like remembering without collapsing. It looks like choosing to keep going, even when your heart feels tender.

God restores the soul gently. He does not rush the process or pressure your heart. He restores in His time, in His way, with patience and care.

Even when you don’t feel different
Even when grief still feels close
healing is happening.

God is tending to your heart behind the scenes—mending what was broken, strengthening what feels fragile, and bringing peace little by little.

Today, trust that restoration is underway. You don’t have to see it to believe it. The Shepherd who walks with you knows exactly what your soul needs.

💛 Prayer:

Lord,Thank You for restoring my soul in gentle ways. Even when I can’t see or feel the progress, help me trust that You are healing my heart. Walk with me today and give me peace as You continue Your work within me.In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
