“You Are Still Becoming”
Scripture:
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”— Philippians 1:6 (KJV)
Grief can make you feel like life has paused—like the person you once were disappeared the moment loss entered your story. You may wonder who you are now, or who you are becoming, as you carry love and sorrow together.
But God has not stopped working in you.
Loss may have changed you, but it has not ended God’s purpose for your life. Even in grief, you are still becoming—becoming stronger in ways you didn’t choose, softer in ways that deepen compassion, and wiser in ways only pain can teach.
God is not finished with you.Not with your heart. Not with your healing. Not with your story.
The work He began in you did not stop when grief arrived. It continues quietly, faithfully, gently—one day at a time. Some days that work looks like courage. Other days it looks like rest. Sometimes it looks like tears. Sometimes it looks like peace.
All of it matters.
Today, let go of the pressure to “be who you were before.”God is shaping who you are becoming now—with grace, with purpose, and with deep understanding of everything you carry.
You are not broken beyond repair. You are not behind. You are still becoming—and God is walking every step with you.
💛 Prayer:
Lord,Thank You for continuing Your work in me, even in seasons of grief. Help me trust that You are shaping my heart with purpose and love. When I feel uncertain about who I am becoming, remind me that You are faithful to finish what You began. Walk with me today and give me peace as I grow through this season. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
