🌿 Thursday, June 11, 2026✨ Write With Purpose, Not Perfection ✨
đź“– Scripture (KJV)
Colossians 3:23“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”
Ecclesiastes 9:10“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might…”
Galatians 1:10“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men?… if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”
✍️ Devotional Thought
One of the greatest enemies of creativity is perfectionism.
Many writers stop before they even begin because they are afraid their words won't be good enough.
They compare.
They overthink.
They edit before they have even finished writing.
And before long, fear steals the joy that God intended for the journey.
But God never called you to write perfectly.
He called you to write faithfully.
Colossians reminds us that whatever we do, we should do it unto the Lord.
Not for applause.
Not for recognition.
Not to compete with someone else's success.
But for Him.
Ecclesiastes tells us to do the work before us with all our might.
Not flawlessly.
Not fearfully.
But faithfully.
And Galatians reminds us that our goal is not to please people, but to honor God.
If God has placed a message within your heart…
Write it.
If He has given you a story…
Tell it.
If He has given you a dream…
Pursue it.
Because people do not need perfect authors.
They need authentic ones.
They need hope.
They need encouragement.
They need truth.
And God can use imperfect words written with a faithful heart far more than perfectly polished words never shared.
So today…
Release perfection.
Embrace purpose.
And trust God with the results.
🌿 Today's Reflection
đź’ś Am I striving for perfection instead of faithfulness?
đź’ś What fear is keeping me from moving forward?
đź’ś Who am I trying to please with my writing?
đź’ś How can I write more freely and trust God with the outcome?
🙏 Prayer
Father,
Help me to release the pressure of perfection and focus instead on being faithful to the calling You have given me. Teach me to write with purpose, joy, and confidence, knowing that You can use even my imperfect efforts for Your glory. Help me to seek Your approval above all else and trust You with the results.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
đź’ś Author Encouragement
You don't have to be perfect.
You simply have to be faithful.
✨ Write with purpose. Trust God with the rest. ✍️📖💜🌿
