Trust the Process
Scripture:
Ecclesiastes 3:11 (KJV)
"He hath made every thing beautiful in his time..."
Romans 8:28 (KJV)
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
As authors, we often become focused on the destination.
We dream about holding the finished book.
Seeing lives touched.
Receiving encouraging messages from readers.
Watching dreams become reality.
But sometimes we struggle with the process.
The waiting.
The editing.
The rewriting.
The setbacks.
The seasons when progress feels painfully slow.
And if we're honest, there are moments when we wonder if all the effort is worth it.
Yet God is not only interested in the destination.
He is also working through the process.
Ecclesiastes reminds us that God makes everything beautiful in His time.
Not according to our schedule.
Not according to our expectations.
But according to His perfect plan.
Romans assures us that He is working all things together for good.
Even the delays.
Even the disappointments.
Even the chapters we don't fully understand.
Nothing is wasted in God's hands.
Every lesson.
Every challenge.
Every season of waiting.
He is using it all to shape us into who He has called us to be.
Proverbs reminds us not to lean upon our own understanding.
Because there will be times when the road ahead doesn't make sense.
There will be moments when doors close.
There will be seasons when answers seem delayed.
But faith does not require understanding.
Faith requires trust.
Trust that God knows the ending.
Trust that He is preparing opportunities you cannot yet see.
Trust that He is growing your character while you pursue your calling.
And trust that the Author of your story never abandons His work.
So don't rush the process.
Don't resent the season you are in.
And don't give up simply because the journey seems longer than expected.
God is doing more behind the scenes than you realize.
And one day, you will look back and discover that His timing was perfect all along.

đź’ś Am I trusting God's timing or trying to rush the process?
đź’ś Have I allowed discouragement to replace faith?
đź’ś What lessons might God be teaching me in this season?
đź’ś How can I better trust Him with the journey?
đź’ś Am I focusing more on the destination than the growth happening along the way?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being faithful in every season of my life. Help me to trust You when I don't understand the process. Teach me to be patient and to remain faithful even when progress feels slow. Give me peace in the waiting and confidence in Your perfect timing. Thank You for continuing to write beautiful things through my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
