Living Close to the Lord
Walking Daily in His Will, Not Ours
Renewing the Mind to Know Godās Will
šļø Key Scripture (KJV):āAnd be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.āā Romans 12:2
š Devotional Thought:
Living close to the Lord requires a renewed mind.
The world constantly pressures us to think, react, and decide according to its standards. But God calls us to a different way of livingāone that is shaped by His truth rather than by culture or circumstance.
Renewing our minds happens when we consistently spend time in Godās Word, allow His truth to challenge our thinking, and invite the Holy Spirit to reshape our perspective. As our minds are renewed, Godās will becomes clearerānot because life gets easier, but because our hearts become aligned with Him.
When we cling to old patterns of thinking, we may struggle to discern Godās direction. But when we surrender our thoughts to Him, transformation begins.
February 8th reminds us that walking in Godās will starts with allowing Him to transform how we think.
š Prayer Prompt:
Lord, renew my mind through Your Word and Your truth. Remove any thoughts that do not align with Your will. Help me think, choose, and live in ways that honor You.
āļø Reflection Questions:
⢠What thought patterns do I need God to renew?⢠How does spending time in Godās Word help clarify His will?⢠What practical steps can I take to renew my mind daily?
⨠Encouragement for Today
A renewed mind leads to a surrendered life. Stay close to GodāHe is transforming you from the inside out.Ā šš
