Standing Strong in a Spiritual Battle

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.”— Ephesians 6:10 (KJV)

💜 WELCOME TO SEPTEMBER

During August, we studied Discovering Your God-Given Calling.

Now that we have learned about following God's calling, September will teach us how to stand strong while walking in it.

Our foundation passage for the entire month is:

Throughout September, we will study:

But we won't simply memorize the pieces of armor.

We're going to ask:

What does this armor mean?

Why did God give it to us?

How do we put it on?

How does it help us during everyday spiritual battles?

And most importantly:

How do we remain focused on Jesus instead of becoming afraid of the battle?

Pray through it.

Return to it often.

Our goal isn't simply to know the names of the armor.

Our goal is to learn how to stand.

UNDERSTANDING THE BATTLE

🛡️ September 1

Put On the Whole Armor of God

Main Scripture: Ephesians 6:10–18

Focus: God hasn't left His children defenseless.

Journal Question:Where do I currently need God's strength?

Prayer:Lord, teach me how to put on Your whole armor.

⚔️ September 2

Know Who the Real Enemy Is

Main Scripture: Ephesians 6:12

Focus: People are not our enemy. Our battle is spiritual.

Journal Question:Have I been treating someone like the enemy instead of praying for them?

Prayer:Lord, give me spiritual discernment and a heart that still loves people.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for another day.

Today I choose to be strong in You and in the power of Your might.

Help me walk in truth.

Guard my heart and help me live in righteousness.

Prepare my feet to carry the Gospel of peace.

Strengthen my faith when fear and doubt come.

Guard my mind with the hope and assurance of salvation.

Teach me Your Word and help me use it wisely.

Keep me faithful in prayer.

Give me wisdom to recognize spiritual battles without becoming fearful or suspicious of others.

Remind me that people are not my enemy.

Help me love people while standing firmly upon Your truth.

My confidence isn't in myself.

MY STRENGTH IS IN YOU.
