Agape Love Blog – Monday, August 18, 2025Strength for a New Week

Good morning, beloved!

Mondays can feel heavy—the start of a busy week, new challenges ahead, and the weight of responsibilities. But we don’t walk into this week alone. The Lord promises to be our strength, our shield, and our ever-present help.

When we begin with Him, no matter what comes, we are already equipped to overcome.

✝️ Verse of the Day“The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.”Psalm 118:14 (KJV)

God doesn’t just give us strength—He IS our strength.

A week started with prayer is a week anchored in peace.

On This Day in History – August 18

  • 1920 – The 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified, granting women the right to vote—a reminder of courage and perseverance.

  • 1963 – James Meredith became the first African American to graduate from the University of Mississippi, a milestone for justice and equality.

National Days – August 18

  • National Ice Cream Pie Day – A sweet reason to smile and share dessert with someone you love.

  • National Fajita Day – Celebrate with a meal that reminds us of the joy of fellowship.

Monday Reflection: Walking in His Strength

This week, don’t rely on your own strength—it will fail. Instead, lean on the everlasting arms of Jesus. His grace is sufficient for every meeting, every decision, and every obstacle.

When we lean on God, the impossible becomes possible.

Monday Prayer:Lord, thank You for being my strength and my song. As I step into this new week, I ask for Your guidance, wisdom, and peace. Help me face each challenge with courage, knowing that You are with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Challenge:Before starting your tasks, take five minutes to pray over your week, asking God to be your strength in all things.

May your Monday be filled with peace, hope, and the strength that only God can provide.

With encouragement and love,Sarah M. SkaggsAgape Love Ministry“When you can’t, He can—and He will.”
