Sabbath Stillness, Sweet Assurance
Good morning, sweet friends in Christ!
Itās Saturdayāa quiet gift tucked between the week behind us and the new one ahead. Itās a day to exhale, reflect, and soak in the nearness of God.You donāt have to rush today. You donāt have to hustle. You just have to restāand remember.
God has been with you every step this week. And now He invites you to be still and dwell in His peace.
āļø Verse of the Day
āRest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him...āā Psalm 37:7a (KJV)
Rest isnāt laziness. Itās obedience.Itās saying, āGod, I trust You enough to stop striving.ā
Itās in the quiet moments that He speaks the loudest. So slow down. Let your soul stretch. Let your spirit breathe.
You donāt have to do anything today to earn His loveājust receive it.
š On This Day in History ā July 26
1775Ā ā The U.S. Postal Service was founded. Just like letters carry messages, you are a messenger of Godās loveāwherever you go.
1947Ā ā President Truman signed the National Security Act, creating the Department of Defense. A reminder that our greatest defense is still the Armor of GodĀ (Ephesians 6).
1847Ā ā Liberia became a republic. As it was formed, may we remember: freedom is both a gift and a responsibility.Ā Walk in the freedom Christ died to give you.
š National Days ā July 26
National Aunt and Uncle DayĀ ā Reach out and thank the spiritual aunts, uncles, and mentors in your life who have prayed over you, laughed with you, and loved you like family.
National All or Nothing DayĀ ā The world says āgo all in or go home.ā But Jesus says, āCome to Me, all who are weary.āĀ No perfection needed. Just presence.
š Saturday Surrender: Godās in Control
Let today be a reset.A Sabbath pause.A holy hush that says, āGod, I give You this day, my heart, and my future.ā
You donāt need a plan for every moment. You just need peace in the present.
š Saturday Prayer:
Father, thank You for today. Thank You for sacred stillness and divine rest. Remind me to breathe deeply, smile freely, and listen quietly for Your voice. I lay down every burden, every plan, and every worry. Fill me with peace that only You can give. In Jesusā name, Amen.
š Todayās Challenge:
Do one thing that restores your soul.Whether itās sitting in the sun, reading your Bible slowly, or taking a quiet walkāinvite God into that moment. Let Him refresh your spirit.
You donāt have to rush to be holy. You donāt have to strive to be worthy. You just have to rest in the truthĀ that He loves youācompletely and constantly.
With gentle peace and a grateful heart,Sarah M. SkaggsAgape Love Ministry šø"Sabbath is not about doing lessāitās about trusting more."
