☕ Food for Thought: OUR 24/7 GOD ❤️

Good morning, family and friends!

As I sit here drinking my morning coffee and doing my devotionals, something from a conversation yesterday came back to my heart.

As many of you know, I work in executive escalations. Yesterday, I was speaking with a lady and letting her share her frustrations when she mentioned something that caught my attention.

She said she had called our 24/7 technical support number at 2 a.m., only to hear a recording telling her she had reached us outside normal business hours!

Now, that certainly wasn't what she expected from a 24/7 service!

But this morning, as I thought about that conversation, the Lord laid something beautiful on my heart.

AREN'T YOU THANKFUL GOD DOESN'T HAVE BUSINESS HOURS? ❤️

Can you imagine calling on Jesus in the middle of the night and hearing:

"We're sorry. You've reached Heaven outside normal business hours. Please try your prayer again tomorrow morning."

Y'all, I'm so thankful that NEVER happens!

The old gospel song “Jesus on the Mainline” came to my mind this morning.

And I started thinking about all the times I've awakened in the middle of the night with something heavy on my heart.

Times I've been worried.

Times I've cried.

Times I didn't know what to do.

Times I couldn't even find the words to pray.

But I could call on JESUS!

And He was there. ❤️

The Bible says:

"He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber." — Psalm 121:3 KJV

Think about that!

While we're sleeping, He's watching over us.

When we're awake at 2 a.m., He's there.

When we're sitting in the doctor's office, He's there.

When we're facing financial struggles, He's there.

When grief hits us unexpectedly, He's there.

When we're having the best day of our lives, He's there too!

OUR GOD IS AVAILABLE 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK, 365 DAYS A YEAR!

No recording.

No hold music.

No voicemail.

No office closed sign.

And no appointment necessary!

"Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice." — Psalm 55:17 KJV

Now, I'm not saying God always answers the way we want or when we want. I've learned that His timing is far better than mine.

But I know this:

HE HEARS ME. HE LOVES ME. AND HE HAS NEVER CLOSED THE DOOR WHEN I CAME TO HIM IN PRAYER.

I'm so thankful I can talk to Jesus while drinking my morning coffee, driving down the road, working, lying in bed, or sitting in silence when my heart is too heavy for words.

And y'all, you can too!

🙏 Lord, thank You for always being there. Thank You for hearing my prayers in the middle of the night and walking with me through every hour of the day. Forgive me for the times I try to handle things on my own before bringing them to You. Help me remember that I never have to wait for the right time to call on my Heavenly Father. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Whatever time it is, whatever you're facing, CALL ON JESUS. He's our true 24/7 God!
