☕ GOOD TUESDAY MORNING!

Good morning, friends! 💜

The coffee is brewing, the Bible is open, and here we are welcoming another beautiful Tuesday!

And guess what?

It's the first day of fall! 🍂

Now, some of us have been decorating for fall since August, and others are still wondering where summer went! 😂

There is something beautiful about this time of year.

The cooler mornings.

The changing leaves.

The smell of cinnamon.

The cozy blankets.

The old family recipes.

And that first morning when you step outside and realize you might actually need a sweater!

But this morning, as I think about the changing seasons, I want to talk about something a little deeper.

We all enjoy certain seasons of life.

The seasons when everything seems to be going well.

The seasons when the family is together.

The seasons when our health is good.

The seasons when we have enough money to pay the bills and maybe a little extra.

The seasons when our prayers seem to be answered quickly.

But what about the seasons we didn't choose?

The seasons of grief.

The seasons of waiting.

The seasons of change.

The seasons when the children grow up and leave home.

The seasons when we have to start over.

The seasons when life looks nothing like we thought it would.

Friends, here's what I want us to remember today:

THE SEASONS MAY CHANGE, BUT GOD DOES NOT.

📖 TODAY'S BIBLE READING

Ecclesiastes 3:1–8 (KJV)

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”

What a beautiful reminder that life is filled with different seasons.

Some bring laughter.

Some bring tears.

Some bring new beginnings.

Some bring difficult goodbyes.

And some bring changes we never expected.

But I want you to notice something.

Scripture doesn't say every season will be comfortable.

It doesn't say every season will make sense.

It reminds us that there is a time for many different experiences in life.

And through them all, we can seek the Lord.

Maybe you're entering a new season today.

A new job.

Retirement.

An empty nest.

A new marriage.

A new baby.

A new ministry.

Or perhaps you're facing a season you never wanted.

Grief.

Illness.

Financial struggles.

Uncertainty.

Friend, whatever season you're walking through, you don't have to walk through it without Jesus.

THE SAME GOD WHO WALKED WITH YOU THROUGH SUMMER WILL WALK WITH YOU THROUGH FALL.

And when winter comes, He'll still be there.

🛡️ ARMOR OF GOD STUDY

Keep Your Armor On Through Every Season

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”— Ephesians 6:10 (KJV)

One thing I've learned is that we cannot prepare for every change life brings.

We can plan.

We can save money.

We can take care of our health.

We can make schedules.

We can write lists.

And we can put reminders on our phones because apparently, after a certain age, walking into another room becomes an adventure in remembering why we went there! 😂

But even with the best plans, life changes.

That's why our spiritual preparation matters.

We don't put on the Armor of God only when trouble comes.

We learn to walk in it every day.

🟤 The Belt of Truth

When your circumstances change, God's Word remains true.

🛡️ The Breastplate of Righteousness

Continue doing what honors the Lord, even when life becomes difficult.

👣 The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace

Don't allow a stressful season to steal the peace you have in Christ.

🛡️ The Shield of Faith

When uncertainty comes, remember what God has already brought you through.

⛑️ The Helmet of Salvation

Guard your thoughts. Don't allow fear to convince you that God has forgotten you.

⚔️ The Sword of the Spirit

Keep reading your Bible. You need God's Word in every season.

Talk to God about the changes you're facing.

Not just the big things.

The little things too.

Friends, we don't know what every season will bring.

But we can prepare our hearts by staying close to the Lord.

DON'T TAKE OFF YOUR ARMOR JUST BECAUSE THE SCENERY CHANGES.

💜 TODAY'S FAITH THOUGHT

Sometimes God Is Doing Something New

I love fall.

I love the beautiful colors.

The changing leaves.

The cooler mornings.

The cozy feeling that comes with this time of year.

But think about those beautiful trees for a moment.

Before spring arrives, they must go through winter.

Before new leaves appear, the old ones fall.

And while we can learn something from that picture, I want to be careful about something.

Not every loss in our lives is simply God clearing the way for something better.

Some losses are painful, and we carry their memory for the rest of our lives.

But even in the seasons we wouldn't have chosen, God can continue working in our hearts.

He can give us strength.

He can help us find purpose.

He can bring comfort.

He can teach us to love others more deeply.

He can use our testimonies to encourage somebody else.

And He can lead us into new opportunities without asking us to forget the people or experiences that shaped us.

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?”— Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)

Maybe your life doesn't look the way it did five years ago.

Maybe it doesn't look the way you expected.

But don't assume that means God is finished with your story.

THERE MAY STILL BE BEAUTIFUL CHAPTERS AHEAD.

🍎 Grandma's Fall Kitchen

Do you remember what fall was like when you were growing up?

For some families, it meant gathering apples.

For others, it meant cutting firewood.

Bringing in the last vegetables from the garden.

Making apple butter.

Baking pies.

Putting quilts on the beds.

And getting everything ready for the colder months ahead.

I can almost imagine Grandma standing in the kitchen with an apron tied around her waist.

A big pot on the stove.

Something wonderful baking in the oven.

And a kitchen table covered with the day's work.

Maybe you remember apple butter cooking.

Maybe it was homemade biscuits.

Maybe it was vegetable soup.

Maybe Grandma made fried apples that tasted better than anything you can buy in a restaurant.

And somehow, even when she was busy, she usually found something for the grandchildren to do.

“Here, honey, stir this.”

And then she'd tell you not to stir it too fast! 😂

Those ordinary moments become some of our most precious memories.

Not because everything was perfect.

But because we were together.

Today, as we welcome fall, let's remember to make new memories.

Invite somebody over.

Share a recipe.

Call an older family member.

Ask about their childhood.

Teach a grandchild something you learned from your grandparents.

FAMILY HERITAGE ISN'T JUST ABOUT REMEMBERING THE PAST.

IT'S ABOUT PASSING LOVE INTO THE FUTURE.

🇺🇸 September 22, 1862 — The Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation

On September 22, 1862, President Abraham Lincoln issued the Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation during the American Civil War.

It announced that enslaved people in states or parts of states still in rebellion against the United States on January 1, 1863, would be declared free.

The final Emancipation Proclamation followed on January 1, 1863.

The proclamation did not immediately end slavery throughout the United States. Its reach was limited, and freedom depended in part on Union military advances. The Thirteenth Amendment later abolished slavery nationwide in 1865.

“What if things don't work out?”

“What if I can't do it?”

Friend, you don't have to know everything about the road ahead.

You need to keep seeking the Lord and taking the next faithful step.

Sometimes that means moving forward.

Sometimes that means resting.

Sometimes that means asking for help.

Sometimes that means letting go of a plan that isn't working.

And sometimes it means accepting that life has changed while trusting God to help you live faithfully in the present.

A NEW SEASON DOESN'T REQUIRE A NEW GOD.

The One who helped you yesterday is still with you today.

1️⃣ Seasons change, but God's character remains the same.

You don't have to make a hundred changes today.

Start with one.

Maybe it's reading your Bible each morning.

Maybe it's spending less time worrying.

Maybe it's making that phone call you've been putting off.

Maybe it's taking a walk and enjoying God's creation.

Maybe it's finally starting that project you've been praying about.

SMALL STEPS OF FAITH STILL MATTER.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for this beautiful Tuesday morning.

Thank You for another day of life.

Thank You for the changing seasons and the beauty of Your creation.

Lord, as we welcome fall, help us remember that You are with us through every season of life.

Some are facing changes we never expected.

Some are grieving what used to be.

Some are waiting for answers.

Some are trying to find their way after a difficult season.

And some are simply tired.

Father, meet us where we are.

Give us wisdom for the decisions ahead.

Give us strength when we're weary.

Help us cherish the beautiful memories of yesterday without losing sight of the opportunities You have given us today.

Lord, help us keep our armor on.
