The Gift of Rest
Good morning, beloved!
As we step into the weekend, it’s important to pause and embrace God’s gift of rest. Rest is not just for the body—it’s for the soul. In a world that constantly pushes us to do more, God gently calls us to be still and know that He is God. His presence refreshes, restores, and renews us for the journey ahead.
✝️ Verse of the Day“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”— Matthew 11:28 (KJV)
Rest is not found in a day off—it is found in Jesus Christ.
Resting in God is the most productive thing we can do for our souls.
On This Day in History – September 27

Saturday Reflection: Resting in Him
Rest is not laziness—it is trust. It’s laying down the burdens we carry and trusting that God’s hands are strong enough to hold them. When we rest in Him, we are renewed to continue His work with joy.
Rest is a holy rhythm—it reminds us we are held by God, not by our own strength.
Saturday Prayer:Lord, thank You for the gift of rest. Teach me to slow down, breathe deeply, and find renewal in Your presence. Let my heart be refreshed today and ready for the blessings of tomorrow. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Today’s Challenge:Take at least 15 minutes today to sit quietly in God’s presence—no phone, no distractions—just you and Him.
May your Saturday be filled with rest, renewal, and the joy of being refreshed in the Lord.
