Today’s scripture reminds us of God’s faithfulness. When Samuel set up a stone of remembrance after Israel’s victory, he called it Ebenezer, meaning “Hitherto hath the Lord helped us” (1 Samuel 7:12 KJV). This stone was more than just a marker; it was a testimony of God’s deliverance and unfailing love.
How often do we pause to set up our own “Ebenezers”? Whether it’s a journal entry, a testimony shared at church, or simply a prayer of thanksgiving, let us never forget to mark the places in our lives where God has carried us through.
🕊️ Today, take a moment to reflect on how far God has brought you and whisper, “Thank You, Lord, for being my Ebenezer.”
📜 Heritage & History
On this day in 1789, the U.S. War Department established a regular army — a reminder that earthly battles come and go, but our greatest strength is found in the Lord. Like David facing Goliath, or Samuel raising the Ebenezer stone, our heritage teaches us courage rooted in faith.

💜 Closing Thought
As the memorial stones at the Jordan reminded Israel of God’s mighty works, may we also stand as living testimonies of His grace. Let’s be like shining stones, set apart to glorify the Lord in all we do.
