A Day to Worship, a Heart to Receive
Good morning, beautiful family of faith!
It’s Sunday—our sacred beginning to a brand-new week. A holy hush fills this day. It’s not just a pause from our work… it’s a divine invitation to rest in God’s presence, reflect on His promises, and rejoice in His love.
Whether you’re headed to church, watching from home, or worshiping during quiet time alone, one thing is certain: God is near. He delights in meeting with you today.
✝️ Verse of the Day
“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.”— Psalm 95:6 (KJV)
Worship is more than singing a song—it’s surrendering our hearts. It’s choosing, in the middle of life’s chaos, to say:“You are still worthy, Lord.”So today, lift your hands, lift your voice, lift your eyes. The One who made you is worthy of your praise.
📜 On This Day in History – July 13
1832 – Henry Schoolcraft identified the source of the Mississippi River. It’s a reminder that even the grandest things begin in hidden places—just like faith. Your quiet obedience today may be the source of someone else’s breakthrough tomorrow.
1923 – The Hollywood sign was officially dedicated in Los Angeles. The world may chase fame, but we chase faithfulness, for our reward is eternal.
🇺🇸 National Days – July 13
National Sunday Supper Day (observed by many families) – A perfect evening to gather with loved ones, share a meal, and speak words of life over one another.
National French Fry Day – It’s okay to enjoy a small treat today! Maybe after church, grab a bite with someone you love and share your week and your heart.
💒 Sunday Reflections
As you prepare your heart for worship today, remember:
You are not behind.
You are not alone.
You are fully known and still fully loved.
God sees you—the you that showed up, even tired. The you that prays even when words won’t come. The you that keeps choosing faith, even in the waiting.
And He says, “Come closer.”
🙏 Sunday Morning Prayer:
Lord, we come before You today with grateful hearts. Thank You for a new week, a fresh start, and the freedom to worship You. Quiet the noise in our minds. Open our ears to hear You, and soften our hearts to receive Your Word. Let this day be filled with divine peace and sweet reminders that You are in control. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
🌟 Today’s Challenge:
Worship wholeheartedly.Whether you’re in a sanctuary or your living room, lift your heart to Heaven. He’s worthy. He’s present. He’s listening.
Let Sunday be your sanctuary.Let your heart be still.Let your soul be refreshed. And let your joy be full.
