Give Your Heart to What Lasts Forever
Choosing Eternity Over Temporary Goals
Scripture: “For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”— James 4:14 (KJV)
Reflection: January is coming to a close, and with it often comes an honest question: Have I kept my resolutions?
Some goals may still be standing strong. Others may already feel forgotten. And that’s okay—because resolutions come and go. Motivation rises and falls. Life gets busy. But there is one decision that never fades, never weakens, and never expires: giving your heart fully to Jesus.
This life is brief. Scripture reminds us that it is but a vapor—here for a moment and gone quicker than we expect. None of us is promised tomorrow, or even the rest of today. But heaven… heaven is forever.
That truth changes everything.
Success is not found in perfect follow-through or flawless discipline. True success is found in surrender. It is found in choosing Christ daily, trusting Him fully, and living with eternity in mind. When we give our hearts to Jesus, we anchor our lives to something unshakable.
As we close out the first month of 2026, don’t measure your year by what you’ve accomplished—measure it by where your heart is resting. If your heart is in His hands, you are exactly where you need to be.
Let this be your greatest commitment:✨ To love Jesus✨ To trust Him completely✨ To live for what lasts forever
Meditation: Ask yourself quietly: Where is my heart truly anchored today? Offer it fully to Jesus.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for reminding me that this life is temporary, but eternity with You is forever. I release the pressure of failed resolutions and choose instead to give You my whole heart. Help me live each day with purpose, faith, and eternity in mind. I trust You with my life—today and always. In Your precious name, Amen. 💜
