"New Mercies for a New Month"

"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."— Lamentations 3:22-23

🌿 Devotional Thought

Today marks the beginning of a new month.

For some, that brings excitement.

For those who are grieving, it may bring mixed emotions.

You may find yourself wondering how another month has passed.

You may be carrying memories from months or even years ago that still feel as fresh as yesterday.

You may be facing another birthday, anniversary, holiday, or milestone without someone you love.

Grief has a way of making time feel different.

But as June begins, God offers a beautiful promise:

His mercies are new every morning.

Not just on the easy days.

Not just when you feel strong.

Every morning.

Every day you wake up and face this journey.

Every day you miss them.

Every day you wonder if your heart will ever feel whole again.

God's compassion has not run out.

His faithfulness has not changed.

His love has not grown weary.

And His grace is waiting for you today.

You do not have to carry last month's burdens into this new month.

You do not have to know how every day of June will unfold.

You simply need to take today's hand in God's hand.

One day.

One prayer.

One step.

One breath at a time.

As this new month begins, may your heart find comfort in knowing that the God who carried you through yesterday will faithfully carry you through tomorrow.

Lord,

Thank You for bringing us into a new month. Thank You for every mercy You have given and every tear You have held. As we begin June, help us trust Your faithfulness. Give us strength for today, hope for tomorrow, and peace for this journey. Remind us that we never walk alone.
