“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”— Lamentations 3:22–23

🌿 Devotional Thought

A new week can bring many emotions when you are grieving.

Some Mondays feel heavy. Some feel lonely. And some feel overwhelming before the day even begins.

You may be carrying memories from the weekend…missing someone deeply…or simply feeling tired from the weight of grief itself.

But today, God gently reminds you:

His mercies are new every morning.

Not recycled.Not leftovers from yesterday.

Fresh mercy.Fresh compassion.Fresh strength for today.

You do not have to carry last week’s pain into this new week alone.

God already knows what this week will hold.He already sees the moments that may feel hard.And before you even arrive there—

His mercy is already waiting for you.

Lamentations 3 was written in the middle of sorrow and heartbreak.

Yet even there, hope still rose.

Why?

Because God’s faithfulness does not disappear in grief.

He remains steady.Loving.Compassionate.Near.

So this Monday…

Take a deep breath.

You do not have to have all the answers for this week.

Just receive today’s mercy.Today’s grace.Today’s strength.

And trust that tomorrow’s mercy will come when tomorrow arrives.
