🌻 GOOD MORNING, SWEET FRIENDS & HAPPY SATURDAY!

Grab your coffee, find a comfortable spot, and spend a few minutes with me this morning.

There is something about a quiet Saturday morning that makes me want to slow down just a little bit.

We live in a world that is always telling us to hurry.

Hurry to work.Hurry to finish.Hurry to accomplish.Hurry to the next thing.

But sometimes God is saying:

ā€œBe still.ā€

šŸ“– ā€œBe still, and know that I am God...ā€ — Psalm 46:10 KJV

Friends, being still doesn't mean doing nothing. Sometimes being still means quieting all the other voices long enough to hear the One voice that matters most.

Maybe today you don't need another thing added to your to-do list.

Maybe you just need a few minutes with Jesus. ā¤ļø

šŸ“œ THIS DAY IN HISTORY — OCTOBER 3

šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø 1863 — Abraham Lincoln issued a Thanksgiving proclamation, setting apart the last Thursday of November as a national day of thanksgiving and praise.

šŸŽ¶ 1945 — Elvis Presley made one of his earliest public singing appearances.Ā At age 10, he performed at the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy Show in Tupelo, Mississippi.

šŸš€ 1962 — Walter Schirra orbited the Earth aboard Sigma 7.Ā The Mercury-Atlas 8 mission completed six Earth orbits during a flight lasting more than nine hours.

šŸ‡©šŸ‡Ŗ 1990 — Germany was reunified.Ā East and West Germany officially became one nation again after decades of division.

History reminds us how much can change in one generation.

And yet through every generation, one thing remains:

šŸ“– ā€œJesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.ā€ — Hebrews 13:8 KJV

āœļø CHRISTIAN HERITAGE — FRANCIS OF ASSISI

October 3 has historical significance in the story of Francis of Assisi, who died on the evening of October 3, 1226. His feast is traditionally observed the following day, October 4.

Francis became known for choosing a simple life devoted to serving God and caring for those whom society often overlooked.

His story reminds us of something Jesus taught repeatedly:

Serving God often looks like serving people.

šŸ“– ā€œAnd whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:ā€ — Matthew 20:27 KJV

You don't need a title to serve God.

You don't need a platform.

You don't need thousands of people watching.

Sometimes ministry looks like sitting beside someone who is hurting, feeding someone who is hungry, praying with someone who is struggling, or simply telling somebody:

ā€œI care about you.ā€

šŸŽ‰ FUN & INTERESTING HOLIDAYS TODAY

😊 World Smile Day — Celebrated on the first Friday of October, this day encourages simple acts of kindness and helping someone else smile.

šŸ’™ National Boyfriend Day — A lighthearted day when many people recognize the special man in their life.

šŸŽ National Caramel Custard Day — If you enjoy something sweet, here's an excuse for dessert!

šŸ  National Manufacturing DayĀ was observed yesterday, October 2, in 2026, but this weekend is still a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the generations of men and women who have made things with their own hands.

Here's my favorite challenge for today:

Make somebody smile!

It doesn't cost anything to offer kindness.

šŸ” HERITAGE CORNER — SATURDAY AT GRANDMA'S HOUSE

Do you remember Saturdays years ago?

For many families, Saturday wasn't necessarily a day to sit around.

There might be laundry hanging outside on the clothesline.

Someone was mowing the yard.

Grandma might have something cooking in the kitchen.

Children played outside until they were called home.

Maybe there was a trip into town, a visit to the local store, or preparation for Sunday dinner.

And Saturday evening often meant something else:

Getting ready for church the next morning.

Sunday clothes were laid out.

Shoes were cleaned.

Children were bathed.

And families knew where they would be Sunday morning.

ā¤ļø Those simple memories are part of our heritage.

Things may look different today, but we can still pass down the most important tradition:

Teaching the next generation that God belongs at the center of our homes.

šŸ“– ā€œBut as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.ā€ — Joshua 24:15 KJV

šŸ’ HERITAGE QUESTION:

What do you remember most about Saturdays at your grandparents' or parents' house?

I'd love to hear your memories in the comments. ā¤ļø

šŸ“– YESTERDAY'S BIBLE TRIVIA ANSWER

Yesterday I asked:

Who fell asleep while Paul was preaching, fell from a third-story window, and was taken up dead before Paul went down to him?

🄁🄁🄁

The answer is...

ā¤ļø C. EUTYCHUS!

šŸ“– You can find the story in Acts 20:7–12 KJV.

And friends, apparently long preaching isn't just a modern church experience! šŸ˜‚ā¤ļø

How many of you got yesterday's question right?

🧠 TODAY'S BIBLE TRIVIA

Here's today's challenge!

What woman in the Bible hid the Israelite spies and helped them escape from Jericho?

A. RuthB. RahabC. DeborahD. Abigail

šŸ“– Don't Google it!

Grab your Bible, search the Scriptures, and put your answer in the comments.

ā¤ļø I'll reveal the answer in tomorrow's Agape Love Daily!

šŸ“– TODAY'S BIBLE READING

Psalm 46 KJV

Today's reading contains one of those Scriptures many of us know by heart:

šŸ“– ā€œBe still, and know that I am God...ā€ — Psalm 46:10 KJV

But today, don't read only that one verse.

Read the whole Psalm.

Notice how many times it reminds us that God is our refuge, our strength, and our help.

🌻 TODAY'S INSPIRATION — YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIX EVERYTHING TODAY

Maybe somebody needs to hear this today.

You don't have to figure everything out this morning.

You don't have to solve next week's problems today.

You don't have to know exactly how God is going to answer that prayer.

You don't have to understand why something happened.

And you don't have to carry tomorrow while you're still living today.

Sometimes faith simply says:

ā€œLord, I don't understand this, but I trust You.ā€

I've learned that we can wear ourselves out trying to open doors God hasn't opened yet.

We can lose sleep trying to answer questions only God knows the answer to.

And sometimes we are so busy asking God, ā€œWhat's next?ā€Ā that we miss Him saying:

ā€œJust stay here with Me for a little while.ā€

So today, slow down.

Drink your coffee while it's still warm. ā˜•

Open your Bible.

Look outside and enjoy God's creation.

Call somebody you love.

Pray without rushing.

And remember...

ā¤ļø God is right on time.

If the answer hasn't come yet, keep trusting.

If the door hasn't opened yet, keep praying.

If you don't understand the season you're walking through, keep holding His hand.

God hasn't lost your address. He hasn't forgotten your prayer. And He certainly hasn't stopped being God.

šŸ™ LET'S PRAY TOGETHER

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for waking us up to another beautiful Saturday.

Thank You for another opportunity to love You, serve You, and be a blessing to someone else.

Lord, quiet our hearts today.

We spend so much time worrying about tomorrow, replaying yesterday, and trying to figure everything out ourselves.

Help us simply be still and trust You.

Comfort those who are grieving today. Strengthen those who are tired. Touch those who are sick. Provide for families who are struggling. Encourage those who feel alone, and give peace to anyone facing a situation they cannot control.

Help us notice someone who needs kindness today.

And Lord, as tomorrow approaches, prepare our hearts to enter Your house ready to worship, learn, fellowship, and praise You.

Thank You for loving us through every season.

In Jesus' precious name,

Amen. ā¤ļø

ā˜• FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Maybe today isn't about accomplishing more.

Maybe today is about trusting more.

šŸ‚ Be still.šŸ™ Pray.šŸ“– Read His Word.ā¤ļø Love somebody.ā˜• Enjoy the little blessings.

And leave tomorrow in God's hands.

ā€œBe still, and know that I am God...ā€ — Psalm 46:10 KJV

Have a beautiful and blessed Saturday, sweet friends!
