āŖ Good Sunday Morning, Sweet Friends!
Happy Sunday! ā¤ļø Grab your coffee, open your Bible, and let's thank the Lord for another beautiful day!
This morning, I want to ask you something.
Are we giving God our best, or are we giving Him whatever time we have left over?
We make time for work.
We make time for shopping.
We make time for television, social media, appointments, and everything else that fills our schedules.
But sometimes, when it comes to spending time with God, we say, "Lord, I'll get to that later."
Friends, God deserves more than our leftover time.
He deserves our hearts, our attention, and our faithfulness.
š Psalm 122:1 (KJV)
"I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD."
Today is Sunday, and if you're able, I encourage you to find yourself a Bible-believing church and worship the Lord!
Don't wait until life is perfect.
Don't wait until every problem is solved.
Don't wait until you feel worthy.
Come just as you are, with a heart ready to hear God's Word.
Maybe there's a message waiting for you today that is exactly what your heart needs.
And remember, going to church isn't about checking something off our weekly schedule.
It's about worshiping the One who has carried us through another week!

š This Day in History ā October 11
šŗšø 1776 ā The Battle of Valcour Island
American naval forces under Benedict Arnold fought British forces on Lake Champlain during the Revolutionary War. Although the Americans lost much of their fleet, the battle helped delay the British advance.
š¢ 1890 ā The Daughters of the American Revolution was founded.
The organization was established to preserve American history, promote education, and honor the legacy of those who helped secure American independence.
š 1968 ā Apollo 7 launched into space.
Apollo 7 was NASA's first crewed Apollo mission, an important step toward the historic Moon landing in 1969.
š 1984 ā Kathryn Sullivan made history.
During the Space Shuttle Challenger mission STS-41-G, Sullivan became the first American woman to perform a spacewalk.
š A Thought From History
History reminds us that ordinary people can accomplish extraordinary things through courage, determination, and perseverance.
But here's something even more important.
You don't have to make history to make a difference.
You may never become famous.
Your name may never appear in a history book.
But the kindness you show, the prayers you pray, and the lives you touch can leave a lasting legacy.
š Matthew 5:16 (KJV)
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

āļø Christian Heritage ā The Faith of Generations Before Us
October 11 is associated in several Christian traditions with the remembrance of Philip the Deacon, one of the seven men chosen to serve the early church in Acts 6.
Philip later became known for preaching the Gospel in Samaria and explaining the Scriptures to an Ethiopian official in Acts 8.
What a wonderful reminder that God uses willing servants!
Philip didn't need a large building, an impressive title, or a famous name.
He simply obeyed God's direction.
When the Lord led him to a desert road, Philip went.
And on that road, he encountered a man searching for understanding.
š Acts 8:35 (KJV)
"Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus."
Friends, sometimes our greatest ministry opportunities happen when we're simply willing to go where God leads.
Maybe God will place someone in your path today who needs encouragement.
Maybe someone needs prayer.
Maybe someone has questions about salvation.
Maybe someone simply needs to hear that Jesus loves them.
Never underestimate what God can do through one obedient heart.

ā¤ļø Today's Agape Love Challenge
Encourage a young person today.
Tell them they matter.
Remind them they have talents and abilities.
Pray for them.
And most importantly, help them understand that their worth is not determined by popularity, appearance, or the opinions of others.
Their lives have value, and they were created with purpose.

š” Heritage Corner ā Sunday School Memories
Do you remember going to Sunday School when you were little?
Maybe you carried a small Bible.
Maybe you had a Sunday School book with colorful pictures.
Maybe your teacher had a flannelgraph board and used little figures to tell Bible stories.
Do you remember those old Sunday School songs?
š¶ Jesus Loves Me
š¶ This Little Light of Mine
š¶ The B-I-B-L-E
š¶ Deep and Wide
Some of us remember getting a little attendance pin or a certificate for memorizing Scripture.
And who remembers Vacation Bible School with homemade refreshments and crafts?
Those were special times!
But the greatest blessing wasn't the prizes or the refreshments.
It was learning about Jesus.
Many of us still remember Scriptures and songs we learned as children.
And when life becomes difficult, those same Scriptures often come back to our hearts.
š Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

š Yesterday's Bible Trivia Answer!
Yesterday I asked:
Who was the oldest man recorded in the Bible, living 969 years?
š„š„š„
The correct answer is...
ā¤ļø C. METHUSELAH!
š Genesis 5:27 KJV
"And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died."
Can you imagine living 969 years?
Think about how much history Methuselah witnessed during his lifetime!
But even with all those years, his earthly life eventually ended.
That reminds us of something important.
It's not simply how many years we live, but how we use the years God gives us.
How many of you got yesterday's answer right? ā¤ļø

š Today's Bible Reading
Hebrews 10:19ā25 KJV
Today's key verse:
š Hebrews 10:25
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
God created us for fellowship.
We need one another.
We need encouragement.
We need accountability.
We need opportunities to worship and grow together.
Church isn't simply about sitting in a pew.
It's about being part of the body of Christ.
And when one member is hurting, we should care enough to help carry the burden.
āāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāā
š» Today's Inspiration ā Don't Just Go to Church, Be the Church
Friends, Sunday is a wonderful day.
We gather together.
We sing praises.
We hear God's Word.
We pray.
We fellowship with other believers.
But here's something I've been thinking about.
What happens after we leave the church parking lot?
Do we take the message home with us?
Do we practice what we heard?
Do we show the same kindness on Monday that we talked about on Sunday?
Do we forgive?
Do we encourage?
Do we help those who are struggling?
Do we guard our words?
Do we love people even when they are difficult to love?
It's easy to talk about being a Christian.
Living like Christ is where our testimony becomes visible.
Sometimes we become so focused on making sure everyone knows what we believe that we forget to show them how much we care.
Now, that doesn't mean compromising God's Word.
It means allowing God's Word to shape our attitudes, actions, and conversations.
We can stand firmly on truth while still speaking with kindness.
We can disagree without being hateful.
We can correct without humiliating.
And we can love people without approving of everything they do.
Jesus showed us that truth and love belong together.
š Ephesians 4:15 (KJV)
"But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:"
So today, let's go to church with thankful hearts.
Let's worship.
Let's listen.
Let's pray.
And when we leave, let's remember:
Our Christian testimony doesn't end when the service ends.
Sometimes the greatest sermon someone will ever see is the way we live.
ā¤ļø God is right on time!

š Let's Pray Together
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for waking us up to another beautiful Sunday morning.
Thank You for Your mercy, grace, and faithfulness.
Lord, today we ask You to prepare our hearts for worship.
Help us lay aside distractions, worries, and the burdens we've carried throughout the week.
Bless every pastor who faithfully preaches Your Word today.
Strengthen Sunday School teachers, musicians, church workers, and everyone serving behind the scenes.
Lord, comfort those who are grieving and facing another Sunday without someone they love.
Touch those who are sick.
Encourage those who are lonely.
Provide for families who are struggling.
And for those who have drifted away from church, help them find their way back into fellowship with Your people.
Father, don't let us simply hear Your Word today.
Help us live it.
Teach us to speak kindly, love sincerely, forgive freely, and stand faithfully upon Your truth.
May our lives point others toward Jesus.
In His precious name,
Amen. ā¤ļø

ā Sunday Food for Thought
Going to church is important, but living for Jesus every day is what makes our testimony shine.
āŖ Worship Him today.
š Study His Word.
š Pray for someone.
ā¤ļø Encourage a hurting heart.
š¤ Show kindness.
š» Carry His love into the coming week.
And remember:
The world doesn't just need to hear us talk about Jesus. It needs to see His love reflected in the way we live.
Have a beautiful and blessed Sunday, sweet friends!
I hope you find yourself in God's house today, surrounded by His Word, His people, and His love.
š God has been faithful through another week, and He will be faithful through the next!
