š» Good Monday Morning, Sweet Friends!
Happy Monday, everyone! ā¤ļø
The coffee is brewing, a new week is beginning, and God has blessed us with another opportunity to walk in His goodness.
Before we start worrying about everything that needs to be done this week, I want us to remember something.
God has already made it through this week before we ever take our first step into it.
He knows the appointments we have.
He knows the decisions we must make.
He knows the challenges we may face.
And He knows the prayers we're still waiting for Him to answer.
Sometimes we become so overwhelmed thinking about tomorrow that we forget to appreciate the blessings of today.
š Matthew 6:34 (KJV)
"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
Jesus was teaching us not to be consumed with anxious worry about tomorrow.
Friends, we can plan and prepare, but we don't have to carry every burden of the coming week all at once.
Take today one step, one prayer, and one blessing at a time.
And remember, God is right on time!

The Central African nation gained independence from Spain.
ā¤ļø A Thought From History
When we study history, we discover that people often began journeys without knowing how those journeys would change their lives.
Isn't that how life sometimes feels?
We begin a new job.
We move to a new place.
We start a ministry.
We take a step of faith.
And we have no idea what lies ahead.
But when we put our trust in God, we can move forward knowing He sees what we cannot.
š Proverbs 3:5ā6 (KJV)
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

āļø Christian Heritage ā A Man Who Lived His Faith
On October 12, 1945, Desmond DossĀ received the Medal of Honor for his extraordinary courage during World War II.
Doss was a Seventh-day Adventist who served as an Army medic. Because of his religious convictions, he refused to carry a weapon, but he was determined to serve his country by saving lives.
During the Battle of Okinawa, he repeatedly risked his own life to rescue wounded soldiers.
He is remembered for his bravery, his compassion, and his commitment to his convictions.
What a powerful reminder that faith isn't just something we talk about. It should be reflected in the way we live.
š James 2:17 (KJV)
"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone."
Friends, we may never find ourselves on a battlefield like Desmond Doss.
But every day we have opportunities to show courage, compassion, and faithfulness.
Sometimes courage means standing for what is right.
Sometimes it means helping someone when everyone else walks away.
And sometimes it means quietly doing what God has called us to do, even when nobody notices.
A faithful life can leave a legacy long after we're gone.

š Fun & Interesting Holidays Today
š National Farmers Day
Today we recognize the hardworking farmers who help provide food for our tables.
If you grew up in the country, you know farming is not simply a job. It's early mornings, long days, hard work, and dedication.
Let's thank God for the farmers and farming families who work through every season!
š Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples' Day
Today is Columbus Day, a federal holiday in the United States. Indigenous Peoples' Day is also observed in many communities to honor Native American histories, cultures, and contributions.
š² National Gumbo Day
Who loves a big pot of homemade gumbo? This Louisiana favorite is a wonderful comfort food for cooler weather.
š National Pulled Pork Day
Now this is something we can appreciate here in North Carolina! Whether you like your barbecue with vinegar sauce or another favorite seasoning, today is a great excuse to enjoy some.
š World Arthritis Day
Today also raises awareness of arthritis and the challenges faced by people living with joint pain and limited mobility.
Let's remember those who struggle with pain that others cannot always see.
ā¤ļø Today's Kindness Challenge
Do something thoughtful for someone who works hard but doesn't always receive recognition.
Thank a farmer, a caregiver, a teacher, a church volunteer, or someone who quietly helps others.
A little appreciation can go a long way.

š” Heritage Corner ā Growing Up Around the Family Table
Do you remember when the family table was one of the most important places in the house?
Years ago, many families gathered around the table every evening.
There might have been a pot of pinto beans on the stove.
Cornbread fresh from the oven.
Fried potatoes.
Green beans cooked with a little seasoning.
And maybe a big pitcher of sweet tea!
Sometimes there wasn't much money for fancy meals.
But there was conversation.
There was laughter.
There were stories about the day.
And in many homes, somebody bowed their head and thanked the Lord before everyone started eating.
I think about how much life has changed.
Today, families are often rushing in different directions.
Someone is eating in front of the television.
Someone else is looking at a phone.
And sometimes we forget how precious those moments around the table really were.
Friends, the food wasn't always what made those meals special.
It was the people sitting around the table.
And for some of us, there are empty chairs today that remind us just how precious those memories are.
š Psalm 107:1 (KJV)
"O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever."
ā¤ļø Today's Heritage Question
What was your favorite meal growing up?
Did your family gather around the table every evening?
And who was the best cook in your family?
Share your memories! I love hearing about the traditions that made our childhoods special.

š Yesterday's Bible Trivia Answer!
Yesterday I asked:
Which disciple walked on the water toward Jesus before becoming afraid and beginning to sink?
The correct answer is...
š„š„š„
ā¤ļø C. PETER!
š Matthew 14:28ā31 KJV
Peter stepped out of the boat and walked toward Jesus on the water.
But when he became afraid of the wind, he began to sink and cried out for the Lord to save him.
š Matthew 14:31 (KJV)
"And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?"
Friends, there's a lesson here for all of us.
When Peter focused on Jesus, he walked. When fear took hold, he began to sink.
How often do we allow the storms around us to become bigger in our minds than the Savior who is with us?
Keep your eyes on Jesus!
How many of you got yesterday's answer right? ā¤ļø

š Today's Bible Reading
Matthew 6:25ā34 KJV
Today's key verse:
š Matthew 6:33
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
What a beautiful passage to begin a new week!
Jesus reminds us that our Heavenly Father knows what we need.
He sees the birds of the air.
He clothes the lilies of the field.
And He cares for His children.
That doesn't mean life will always be easy or that we will never face difficulties.
But it does mean we can trust our Father to guide us through whatever comes.
Put God first, do what you can today, and trust Him with the rest.

š» Today's Inspiration ā You Don't Have to Figure Everything Out Today
Have you ever awakened on Monday morning with a hundred things running through your mind?
Bills to pay.
Appointments to keep.
Work to finish.
Family responsibilities.
People you're concerned about.
Prayers you're still waiting for God to answer.
Before your feet even touch the floor, you're already exhausted thinking about everything that needs to be done.
Friends, I've learned something.
Not everything needs to be figured out today.
Sometimes we place pressure on ourselves that God never asked us to carry.
We want answers immediately.
We want situations resolved.
We want doors to open.
We want everything to fall into place according to our plans.
But God doesn't always reveal the entire journey.
Sometimes He simply shows us the next step.
Think about Abraham.
When God called him to leave his country, Abraham didn't receive a detailed map showing every stop along the way.
He obeyed and trusted God.
š Hebrews 11:8 (KJV)
"By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went."
What faith!
And friends, sometimes that's exactly what God is asking us to do.
Take the next step.
Pray the next prayer.
Do the next right thing.
Trust Him with what we cannot see.
Maybe you're facing something this week that seems overwhelming.
Maybe you're waiting on an answer.
Maybe you're trying to make an important decision.
Maybe you're carrying a burden nobody else knows about.
I want to encourage you this morning.
You don't have to know how everything will work out to trust the One who does.
God has not asked us to control tomorrow.
He's asked us to follow Him faithfully today.
So drink your coffee.
Say your prayers.
Open your Bible.
Take care of what needs your attention.
And when worry begins creeping into your heart, remind yourself:
God was faithful yesterday. He is faithful today. And He will still be faithful tomorrow.
ā¤ļø God is right on time!

š Let's Pray Together
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for waking us up to another beautiful Monday morning.
Thank You for the gift of a new week.
Lord, before we begin rushing into everything that needs to be done, help us remember to put You first.
Forgive us for the times we allow worry to take over our thoughts.
Forgive us when we try to control situations that belong in Your hands.
Teach us to trust Your timing.
Give us wisdom for the decisions ahead.
Give us patience when answers don't come as quickly as we would like.
Give us strength when the responsibilities of life feel overwhelming.
Lord, today I especially pray for those who are beginning this week with heavy hearts.
Those who are grieving someone they love.
Those who are struggling financially.
Those who are facing sickness.
Those who are caring for family members.
Those who are lonely, discouraged, or afraid.
Wrap Your loving arms around them.
Help them feel Your presence and know they are not forgotten.
Lord, bless our families, our churches, our communities, and everyone who is trying to do what is right.
Help us be a blessing to someone today.
Guard our words.
Direct our steps.
And remind us that we don't have to carry tomorrow's burdens today.
We place this week into Your hands.
In Jesus' precious name,
Amen. ā¤ļø
