🌻 Good Wednesday Morning, Sweet Friends!

Happy Wednesday, y'all! ā¤ļø

Grab your coffee, take a moment to breathe in this beautiful autumn morning, and let's spend a little time with the Lord.

Have you ever gotten so busy that you reached the end of the day and wondered where the time went?

Between work, family, appointments, responsibilities, and everything else demanding our attention, it's easy to put our quiet time with God on the back burner.

We tell ourselves we'll pray later or read our Bible when things slow down.

But sometimes later never comes!

šŸ“– Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

"Be still, and know that I am God..."

Friends, we don't have to spend hours in a quiet room to draw closer to the Lord.

Sometimes it begins with a few minutes of prayer, a Scripture read over morning coffee, or simply thanking Him for another day.

Don't become so busy taking care of everything else that you forget to spend time with the One who gives you strength to keep going.Ā ā¤ļø

ā¤ļø A Thought From History

Great accomplishments often require patience, dedication, and time.

But friends, while we're working toward our goals, let's not forget the importance of the people we love and the God who sustains us.

Success means very little if we're too busy to appreciate the blessings already in our lives.

āœļø Christian Heritage — Susanna Wesley and the Power of Prayer

Today, let's remember Susanna Wesley, the mother of John and Charles Wesley.

She raised a large family while faithfully teaching her children about Scripture and the Christian life.

Her sons later became influential figures in Christian history.

One of the beautiful lessons from her life is the importance of making time for prayer, even in the middle of family responsibilities.

She is remembered for finding moments of prayer amid the demands of caring for her household.

šŸ“– 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV)

"Pray without ceasing."

Friends, prayer isn't something we have to reserve for Sunday mornings.

We can pray while washing dishes, driving to work, preparing supper, or sitting quietly before bed.

A busy life can still be a prayerful life.

šŸ” Heritage Corner — When Families Made Time for One Another

Do y'all remember evenings when families sat together without everyone looking at a phone?

Maybe Mama was crocheting or mending clothes.

Daddy might have been reading the newspaper.

The children were playing a board game, doing homework, or listening to stories from Grandma.

And sometimes everyone gathered around the television to watch the same show.

Life was still busy back then, but those simple moments brought families together.

I think about how quickly time passes and how important it is to make memories while we can.

šŸ“– Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:"

ā¤ļø Today's Heritage Question

What did your family enjoy doing together in the evenings when you were growing up?

Did you play games, sit on the porch, listen to the radio, or gather around the television?

Share your memories! šŸ

🄁🄁🄁

The correct answer is...

ā¤ļø C. DAVID!

šŸ“– 1 Samuel 17:49 (KJV)

David faced Goliath with faith in the Lord rather than confidence in his own strength.

What a beautiful reminder that our greatest source of strength comes from God!

šŸ“– Today's Bible Reading — Luke 10:38–42

šŸ“– Luke 10:42 (KJV)

"But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her."

Martha was busy preparing and serving while Mary sat at Jesus' feet, listening to His words.

Martha's work wasn't unimportant, but Jesus reminded her that time spent listening to Him mattered more than all the distractions around her.

Friends, sometimes we're so busy doing good things that we neglect the most important thing.

Make room for Jesus in your day.

🌻 Today's Inspiration — Make Time for What Matters Most

Friends, I know how easy it is to become overwhelmed by everything we need to do.

We have jobs, families, homes, responsibilities, dreams, and people depending on us.

And sometimes it feels like there simply aren't enough hours in the day.

But I've learned something.

Being busy doesn't always mean we're spending our time on what matters most.

We can fill every hour with activity and still feel empty inside.

We can accomplish a hundred tasks and still neglect our spiritual lives.

And we can spend so much time worrying about tomorrow that we forget to appreciate today.

Think about Mary and Martha.

Martha was busy serving.

Mary was sitting at Jesus' feet.

Both were in the presence of the Lord, but only one had stopped long enough to listen.

How often are we like Martha?

We rush through the day, trying to make everything perfect.

We worry about what needs to be done.

We become frustrated when others aren't helping.

And before we know it, we've lost the peace we were hoping to find.

Sweet friends, sometimes we need to set the to-do list aside for a few minutes.

Open our Bible.

Bow our heads.

And simply spend time with Jesus.

That doesn't mean ignoring our responsibilities.

It means remembering where our strength comes from.

šŸ“– Matthew 6:33 (KJV)

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Maybe you can't spend an hour in prayer this morning.

That's okay.

Start with five minutes.

Read a few verses.

Thank God for three blessings.

Pray for someone who is hurting.

And ask the Lord to guide your steps throughout the day.

A few sincere moments with God are more valuable than a day filled with activity that leaves no room for Him.

And remember, sweet friends:

God doesn't want to be just another item on our schedule. He wants a relationship with us.

ā¤ļø God is right on time!

šŸ™ Let's Pray Together

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for blessing us with another beautiful Wednesday morning.

Lord, forgive us for the times we become so busy that we neglect our time with You.

Help us slow down and recognize what truly matters.

Give us wisdom to balance our responsibilities with time for prayer, Scripture, worship, and family.

Comfort those who are grieving, strengthen those who are sick, and provide for those who are struggling.

Help us encourage others and appreciate the little blessings we sometimes overlook.

And through every busy moment, remind us that our strength comes from You.

In Jesus' precious name,

Amen. ā¤ļø
