💜 FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11

Your Words Can Leave a Legacy

📖 Today’s Scripture

"One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts."Psalm 145:4 (KJV)

Good Friday morning, authors! 💜📖

Have you ever thought about where your words may be years from now?

Books have an amazing ability to outlive the moment in which they were written.

A testimony written today may someday be read by a grandchild.

A family story may preserve memories future generations would otherwise never know.

A devotional may encourage someone you've never met.

A children's story may become a book a parent reads over and over at bedtime.

A novel may sit on someone's bookshelf for years before being passed to another reader.

That's one of the beautiful things about writing:

Our words can travel places we never will.

🌿 Write More Than a Book—Leave Something Behind

Not every book has to become a bestseller to be valuable.

Sometimes we become so focused on sales that we forget about legacy.

Ask yourself:

If someone reads my words twenty years from now, what do I hope they discover?

Faith?

Hope?

Truth?

Laughter?

Family history?

Encouragement?

A reminder of God's faithfulness?

Your book may become part of the story you leave behind.

So write carefully.

Write truthfully.

Write lovingly.

And when God is at the center of your message, write prayerfully.

✍️ Don't Keep Saying, “Someday”

If there's a story you want your children or grandchildren to know...

Write it.

If there's a testimony you don't want forgotten...

Write it.

If God has taught you something you believe could help another person...

Write it.

You don't have to publish everything.

Some words may simply belong in a journal for your family.

But don't assume you'll always remember every detail.

Today's memory can become tomorrow's written legacy.

🙏 Friday Author Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of words.

Help us remember that what we write today may continue speaking long after we've finished writing it.

Give us wisdom to write things worth remembering.

Help us preserve testimonies of Your faithfulness and use our stories to encourage others.

May our words leave behind faith, hope, love, truth, and evidence of Your goodness.

In Jesus' precious name,

Amen.

✍️ Friday Author Challenge

WRITE ONE MEMORY

Today, write about one moment you never want your family to forget.

It could be:

💜 A prayer God answered📖 A family tradition🙏 A testimony🌻 A lesson someone taught you😂 A funny family memory❤️ Someone who changed your life

Don't worry about publishing it.

Just preserve it.

💜 FRIDAY AUTHORS HUB QUESTION

What do you hope your writing leaves behind?

Published authors, share your book links and tell us what legacy or message you hope your books carry.

Future authors, tell us the story you want future generations to remember.

🌷 Friday Encouragement

“Don't only write for today's reader. Write something tomorrow's generation will be thankful you preserved.”

Your words can become part of your legacy.

Write them well. Write them faithfully. Write them while you still can. 💜

🌻 SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12

The Chapter You're Struggling With May Be Worth Fighting For

📖 Today’s Scripture

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

Good Saturday morning, authors! 💜✍️

Let's talk about something every writer eventually encounters:

The chapter that simply will NOT cooperate. 😊

You write it.

Read it.

Delete half of it.

Write it again.

Move paragraphs.

Change the opening.

Walk away.

Come back.

And somehow...

It still isn't right!

That's when frustration starts whispering:

“Maybe I'm not supposed to write this.”

But difficulty isn't always a sign that you're going in the wrong direction.

Sometimes...

Writing is simply hard work.

🌿 Don't Confuse Difficult With Impossible

There will be parts of your writing journey that stretch you.

Maybe you're writing about something emotional.

Maybe your plot isn't working.

Maybe you need more research.

Maybe you've reached the middle of the manuscript and lost direction.

Maybe editing revealed more problems than you expected.

Don't panic.

Stop.

Pray.

Look at the problem.

Ask for help if you need it.

Then work through it one piece at a time.

💜 Revision Isn't Failure

Authors sometimes become discouraged when they realize something needs rewriting.

But rewriting doesn't mean the first attempt was wasted.

Revision is part of writing.

The first draft gets the story onto the page.

Revision helps make the story worth reading.

Don't become so attached to your first words that you're afraid to improve them.

Some sentences need strengthening.

Some paragraphs need moving.

Some chapters need rewriting.

And yes...

Sometimes our favorite paragraph needs to go. 😄

That's okay.

The goal isn't to protect every word we've written.

The goal is to make the story better.

✍️ Don't Quit Because Today Is Hard

A difficult writing day doesn't mean you're a bad writer.

A hard chapter doesn't mean you're writing the wrong book.

A manuscript needing revision doesn't mean you've failed.

And needing help doesn't mean you're incapable.

It means you're learning.

Keep going.

🙏 Saturday Author Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for giving us strength when things become difficult.

Today I pray for the writer who feels stuck.

Give them fresh ideas.

Give them patience with the process.

Help them recognize what needs to change without becoming discouraged.

Teach us to accept correction, revise when necessary, and keep growing.

When we feel like quitting simply because something is difficult, give us strength to try again.

In Jesus' precious name,

Amen.

✍️ Saturday Author Challenge

TACKLE THE HARD PAGE

Find one section you've been avoiding.

Give it 30 focused minutes.

📝 Rewrite it.

📖 Research what you're missing.

✍️ Change the opening.

💡 Brainstorm another direction.

🙏 Pray over it.

And if you still don't solve it?

That's okay.

Write down what you learned and return tomorrow with fresh eyes.

💜 SATURDAY AUTHORS HUB QUESTION

What is the hardest part of writing or publishing for YOU?

Is it:

✍️ Starting?📝 Editing?💡 Staying motivated?📚 Publishing?🎨 Covers?📣 Marketing?⭐ Getting reviews?⏰ Finding time?

Share your struggle.

Then look through the comments and help another writer if you've learned something that could encourage them.

Published authors, share your book links too!

🌷 Saturday Encouragement

“Don't throw away the whole story because one chapter is difficult.”

Pray.

Rewrite.

Learn.

Ask for help.

Then keep going.

The hard page may become one of your best pages because you refused to give up on it. 💜📖

🌿 SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13

You Are More Than the Book You're Trying to Finish

📖 Today’s Scripture

"Be still, and know that I am God..."Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

Good Sunday morning, authors. 💜

Friday we talked about legacy.

Saturday we talked about perseverance.

But today?

We're putting the pen down for a little while.

Because sometimes authors need to remember:

You are not your word count.

You are not your sales numbers.

You are not your reviews.

You are not your social media following.

You are not your Amazon ranking.

You are not your unfinished manuscript.

Before you are an author, you are a child of God.

🌿 Don't Turn Your Calling Into Your Identity

Writing may be something God has called you to do.

But even good things can become unhealthy when they consume everything.

We can become obsessed with finishing.

Publishing.

Promoting.

Selling.

Growing.

Achieving.

Then one day we realize we've spent so much time building the dream that we've neglected the One who gave us the dream.

Today, return to Him.

💜 The Manuscript Will Still Be There Tomorrow

You don't have to answer every message today.

You don't have to check sales every hour.

You don't have to create another promotional post.

You don't have to squeeze another 500 words out of an exhausted mind.

Rest.

Worship.

Go to church.

Spend time with your family.

Sit outside.

Drink your coffee slowly.

Read something simply because you enjoy it.

Open your Bible without thinking:

“How can I turn this into content?”

Let God speak to you.

Not everything God teaches you has to become something you publish.

Some things are simply between you and Him.

🌸 God Cares About the Person Behind the Pages

Your readers may know your words.

God knows your heart.

He knows when you're tired.

He knows when you're discouraged.

He knows when you're secretly wondering whether you're good enough.

He knows when you've been working too hard.

And today He still says:

“Be still.”

Rest isn't wasted time.

Rest prepares us to return stronger.

🙏 Sunday Author Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of writing.

Thank You for every story, testimony, devotional, lesson, poem, and book You allow us to create.

But today we lay those gifts back at Your feet.

Remind us that our value isn't determined by what we accomplish.

Help us rest without guilt.

Speak to our hearts.

Restore our creativity.

Strengthen our spirits.

Help us enjoy the people and blessings You've placed around us.

And when we pick up the pen again, may we return refreshed, grateful, and ready to write with purpose.

In Jesus' precious name,

Amen.

🌿 Sunday Author Challenge

REST WITHOUT GUILT

Today's assignment is wonderfully simple:

🙏 Worship.

📖 Read God's Word.

☕ Slow down.

❤️ Spend time with people you love.

🌿 Enjoy something beautiful.

And sometime today, write just one sentence in your journal:

“Today I am thankful for __________.”

That's enough.

💜 SUNDAY AUTHORS HUB FELLOWSHIP

No pressure to promote today.

Instead, let's fill our Authors Hub with gratitude.

What are you thankful for in your writing journey?

Maybe God gave you an idea.

Maybe you finished a manuscript.

Maybe someone bought your book.

Maybe a reader sent an encouraging message.

Maybe you've met wonderful people through writing.

Maybe you're simply thankful that you finally had the courage to begin.

Share your gratitude.

Then encourage someone else.

🌷 Sunday Encouragement

“Your book may be part of your calling, but it was never meant to replace the One who called you.”

Rest today.

Your manuscript isn't going anywhere.

God is still working.

Tomorrow there will be another page.

Today...

Be still and spend time with the Author of your life. 💜📖🙏
