✍️ Author Devotional – November 12, 2025

Theme: The Pen of Purpose Scripture:“And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” — Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV)

Every writer called by God carries a vision — a message placed deep within the heart that longs to be shared. Sometimes it comes as a whisper, other times as a burning fire that cannot be contained. But no matter how it comes, God’s command is the same: Write it.

Writing isn’t just about words — it’s about purpose. God uses writers as His messengers, weaving His truth into stories, devotionals, and testimonies that stir hearts and move souls. Even when you wonder if anyone will read what you’ve written, trust that God already knows who needs it.

When Habakkuk was told to “write the vision,” it wasn’t only for him — it was for others who would one day read it and run with it. The same is true for you. Your words can become the encouragement someone needs to keep going, the spark that reignites faith, or the gentle reminder that God still speaks.

Don’t wait until you feel ready or qualified — obedience is the first step to purpose. Pick up your pen and let God’s vision flow through you. He’ll handle the rest.

Reflection Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the vision You’ve placed within my heart. Help me to write it clearly and faithfully, trusting that You will guide every word. Let my writing bring hope, direction, and encouragement to all who read it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Challenge:Take a few quiet moments today to ask God what “vision” He wants you to write. Then, jot it down — even if it’s just a sentence or an idea. Trust that He’ll unfold the rest in His time.
