✍️ Author Devotional – November 6, 2025

Theme: The Writer God is ShapingScripture:“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:10 (KJV)

As writers, we often focus on the impact our words will have on readers. We pray they’ll be encouraged, comforted, or drawn closer to Christ. But have you ever noticed how God also uses the writing process to shape you?

Every time you sit down to write, you’re not just crafting words — you’re allowing God to work within you. The lessons you share, the scriptures you reflect on, the prayers you write — they are all chiseling away doubt, deepening faith, and strengthening your trust in Him.

God is not just using your pen to reach others; He’s using it to refine your spirit. You are His workmanship — His ongoing masterpiece. Each chapter, each page, each word written in obedience becomes part of your personal story of transformation.

There may be moments of frustration, silence, or uncertainty in your writing journey, but even those are holy ground. In those spaces, God whispers, “I am still working.”

So, take heart today. The same God who inspires your words is the One shaping your heart. You are His creation — His instrument — and every sentence you write is a reflection of His ongoing work within you.

Reflection Prayer:

Lord, thank You for using the gift of writing to shape my heart and deepen my faith. Help me to see that every word I write is part of Your purpose in me. Continue to mold me into Your likeness and let my writing bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Challenge:Look back at something you’ve written before — a devotional, a story, or a journal entry — and reflect on how God has grown you since you wrote it. Then, write a paragraph of gratitude for how far He’s brought you.
