✍️ Author Devotional – October 23, 2025 In His Time, Not Mine scripture:

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)

Every author knows the pull of deadlines, the weight of waiting, and the frustration of ideas that won’t come when we want them to. But God’s timing — both in writing and in life — is never offbeat. He knows exactly when your words are meant to be written, released, and read.

Sometimes God delays our writing not to discourage us, but to develop us. He’s not just shaping your story — He’s shaping your heart. The season of waiting may be God’s classroom, teaching you patience, trust, and deeper dependence on Him.

If you’ve been praying for direction in your writing and haven’t heard anything yet, be still. The Author of all creation is not silent — He’s preparing the next chapter. When the time is right, the words will come like rain on dry ground, fresh and full of purpose.

Remember, you’re not just writing for today; you’re writing for eternity. God is using every season — even the quiet ones — to mold your message into something that glorifies Him and blesses others.

Reflection Prayer:

Father, thank You for the reminder that Your timing is always perfect. Help me to trust Your seasons — even the waiting ones. Let my words come forth in Your time, filled with Your wisdom and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Challenge:If you’re in a waiting season, spend time journaling about what God might be teaching you right now. Write a short paragraph thanking Him for the unseen work He’s doing behind the scenes.
