He Who Began a Good Work in You Scripture: “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” — Philippians 1:6 (KJV)
Every writer knows the challenge of unfinished work — half-written chapters, notebooks full of ideas, stories waiting for the right ending. Sometimes life interrupts, inspiration fades, or doubt sets in, and we wonder if we’ll ever complete what God has placed on our hearts.
But take heart — God never leaves His work unfinished. The same hands that began the masterpiece of creation are the same hands guiding your pen. What He starts, He will complete.
Your writing journey is part of a greater process — not just about finishing a book, but about the transformation happening inside you as you write. Each page you create, every word you wrestle with, is shaping both your story and your spirit.
When you grow weary, remember this: your calling as a writer didn’t come from your ability — it came from His purpose. God’s not just writing through you; He’s writing in you. And His story always ends in victory.
Reflection Prayer:
Lord, thank You for beginning a good work in me. Help me to trust that You will finish what You’ve started — both in my writing and in my heart. Give me perseverance to continue, and peace to know that You are the true Author of my story. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Today’s Challenge:Revisit a project you’ve set aside. Pray over it and ask God if this is the season to finish it. If He gives you peace, write one paragraph today — trusting Him to complete the rest in His perfect timing.
