Good morning, Miss Sarah! 🤠We’re closing out the month with a bold, hearty, and flavor-packed skillet meal—the kind of dish that feels like a reward after a long trail ride.

Juicy steak, golden potatoes, and rich garlic butter… this one is a true cowboy favorite! šŸ„©šŸ”„

šŸ„©šŸ§„ Ingredients

  • 1½ lbs steak (sirloin or bite-sized pieces)

  • 3–4 medium potatoes, diced

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 tablespoon oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary

  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

šŸ”„ Chuckwagon Cooking Instructions

1ļøāƒ£ Heat a large cast iron skilletĀ over medium-high heat.

2ļøāƒ£ Add oil and cook diced potatoes for 10–15 minutesĀ until golden and tender. Remove and set aside.

3ļøāƒ£ In the same skillet, add steak pieces and sear until browned on all sides.

4ļøāƒ£ Reduce heat to medium and add butter and garlic.

5ļøāƒ£ Stir in salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.

6ļøāƒ£ Return potatoes to the skillet and toss everything together.

7ļøāƒ£ Cook for another 3–5 minutesĀ until well coated and heated through.

šŸ„„ Chuckwagon Serving Tip

Serve hot with:

  • Warm bread 🧈

  • A simple salad

  • Or enjoy it straight from the skillet like a true cowboy 🤠

⭐ Campfire Tip

Cook steak over higher heat to get that perfect sear, then move to lower heat to finish—this keeps it juicy and tender.
