Good morning, Miss Sarah! š¤ Weāre closing out the month with a bold, hearty, and flavor-packed skillet mealāthe kind of dish that feels like a reward after a long trail ride.
Juicy steak, golden potatoes, and rich garlic butter⦠this one is a true cowboy favorite! š„©š„
š„©š§ Ingredients
1½ lbs steak (sirloin or bite-sized pieces)
3ā4 medium potatoes, diced
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary
Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
š„ Chuckwagon Cooking Instructions
1ļøā£ Heat a large cast iron skilletĀ over medium-high heat.
2ļøā£ Add oil and cook diced potatoes for 10ā15 minutesĀ until golden and tender. Remove and set aside.
3ļøā£ In the same skillet, add steak pieces and sear until browned on all sides.
4ļøā£ Reduce heat to medium and add butter and garlic.
5ļøā£ Stir in salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
6ļøā£ Return potatoes to the skillet and toss everything together.
7ļøā£ Cook for another 3ā5 minutesĀ until well coated and heated through.
