Good morning, Miss Sarah! 🤠We’re closing out the month with a bold, hearty, and flavor-packed skillet meal—the kind of dish that feels like a reward after a long trail ride.
Juicy steak, golden potatoes, and rich garlic butter… this one is a true cowboy favorite! 🥩🔥
🥩🧄 Ingredients
1½ lbs steak (sirloin or bite-sized pieces)
3–4 medium potatoes, diced
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary
Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
🔥 Chuckwagon Cooking Instructions
1️⃣ Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
2️⃣ Add oil and cook diced potatoes for 10–15 minutes until golden and tender. Remove and set aside.
3️⃣ In the same skillet, add steak pieces and sear until browned on all sides.
4️⃣ Reduce heat to medium and add butter and garlic.
5️⃣ Stir in salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
6️⃣ Return potatoes to the skillet and toss everything together.
7️⃣ Cook for another 3–5 minutes until well coated and heated through.
