Craft: âTwine & Burlap Angel Ornamentâ đźâ¨
Theme:Â A sweet handmade angel to remind us of Godâs protection and peace.
⨠What Youâll Need:
Jute twine
Burlap fabric or burlap ribbon
Wooden beads (one for the head, one optional for the âhandsâ)
Small metal ring (halo) or gold pipe cleaner
Hot glue gun
Scissors
Red ribbon
Mini greenery & red berries (optional)
đź Directions:
1. Create the Angelâs Body
Wrap jute twine around your four fingers or a small book 25â35 times (depending on how full you want it).
Carefully slide the bundle off.
Tie a piece of twine around the top to create a âneck.â
Cut the bottom loops so the twine hangs freely like a skirt.
2. Add the Wooden Head
Glue a wooden bead securely on top of the gathered neck area.
Hold in place until fully set.
3. Make the Wings
Cut two heart-shaped wings from burlap fabric.
Glue the wings to the back of the angel at the neckline.
4. Add the Halo
Slide a small metal ring or shape a halo from a gold pipe cleaner.
Glue it gently to the top of the head or attach it to the hanging twine.
5. Add the Bow
Tie a small red bow using ribbon.
Glue it at the front of the angel under the chin.
Add greenery and berries for extra Christmas charm.
6. Optional: Add Hands
Glue a small wooden bead to the front of the twine skirt as âhandsâ folded in prayer.
7. Attach Hanging Twine
Loop a piece of twine at the top so you can hang your angel on the tree, a wreath, or a gift.
âď¸ Faith Reflection:
Hebrews 1:14 (KJV)Â â âAre they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?â
This angel ornament is a beautiful reminder that God watches over us, surrounding our homes with peace and His presence.
