Craft: āThe Manger Heart OrnamentāĀ ā¤ļøāØšŖµ
Theme:Ā A simple, rustic reminder that Jesus was born in love, humility, and purpose.
ā¤ļø What Youāll Need:
Small wooden heartĀ (craft heart, wood slice heart, or cardboard heart)
Hay, raffia, or shredded paper (for āstrawā)
Tiny manger figurineĀ orĀ mini wooden pieces to form a stable shape
TwineĀ or jute string
Hot glue gun
Optional:
Gold star stickers
Mini baby Jesus figurine
White paint or stain
Glitter (gold or iridescent)
⨠Directions:
1. Prepare the Heart Base
Use a plain wooden heart, or paint the front lightly with white or cream paint.
For a rustic look, leave some natural wood showing.
2. Add the āStrawā
Glue a small patch of hay, raffia, or shredded paper in the center of the heart.
This represents the manger bedding.
3. Create the Manger Scene
Choose one of these options:
Glue a tiny manger figurine in the center
Make a simple manger shape using two tiny craft sticks crossed and a small base
Or glue a tiny wooden āBaby Jesusā bead wrapped in cloth
4. Add the Star
Place a gold star above the manger to represent the Star of Bethlehem.
5. Add the Hanger
Glue or tie twine to the top of the heart so you can hang it on your tree or wreath.
6. Finishing Touches
Optional touches to make it beautiful:
Lightly brush gold glitter around the edges
Add āLove Came Downā or āJesusā using a fine marker
Add greenery or berries to the top edge
